OK so I ordered a dress and I am now thinking it is TOO white. I do not know the bride very well, I am more friends with the groom.
The wedding itself is WAY more casual than formal. My dude will be in jeans and a pearl snap shirt (+cowboy boots). I want to wear my brown cowboy boots with this. Of course it is an outdoor, Texas wedding. Gravel ground, two stepping, buffet style, etc. So, not very fancy. Anything more formal and I would stick out.
I doubt the bride will even be wearing white, honestly. Is this TOO white? I posted this on Reddit to some very mixed (and some awfully rude) answers.

I think it’s really cute! And the pattern is very large, so I don’t think it’s too white. :]

@PetiteChicken: Ooo do you know what the bride might be wearing?? If she isnt wearing white/ivory/blush then I would be cautious. But normally, I think that dress is surely acceptable for a wedding.

Not too white at all! It reads as red and blue.

I think patterns are fine with white. It’s obviously not a wedding-looking-dress that would be seen as competing with the bride.

I definitely don’t think it’s too white. It has big red flowers! I say wear it and don’t worry at all. It will be really cute with your cowboy boots.

OMG! I love that dress and think it’s totally OK for a wedding. Where did you get it??

Lots of overall pattern, and it doesn’t read white at all (squint and see what happens). And it is definitely darker than lighter… so won’t be a problem in any Wedding Photos either (the rule is NO WHITE / LIGHT because it causes unbalance in Photos)
Wedding sounds wonderful… you guys will look awesome !!

Love it! And the pattern is prominent enough that it won’t look like the taboo “white dress”. Sounds like a fun wedding.
