definitely american eagle for pants! i buy their short size and they fit GREAT. also, don’t be afraid to order online (and return if you have to). i found a lot of local stores didn’t have petite sizes in the physical store, but had lots of options online.

I’m surprised by all the American Eagle votes. I’ve gone there for jeans every few years and they just don’t fit right.

I’m 4’11” (maybe a little less 🙂 I am pretty much addicted to gap jeans. They seam to make petites made for real women in all different shapes & sizes. They’re not super cheap, but in the $60-70 range. While some fits are fairly consistant, they change styles each season & I often find things on sale. I have also figured out my size in certain cuts and will sometimes buy them on ebay if I can find them. Also, Bannana does have some really great petites in their business section that are really stylish but not too stuffy 😉
I also just wanted to tell you that I’m 35 and still get mistaken for a kid! But the funny thing is I have a job where I do theatre for kids and often play the role of a kid. It’s kind of crazy that I still have this job…

I am 5′ 113 lbs with a big tuchus and I give up on jeans.
Most of my clothes I have bought from an amazing thrift store in Chicago and at other random thrift stores. So much variety in one place so I can uaully find something.
Also, H&M clothes run small.

I know that American Eagle caters to Juniors. But, I’m 5 feet tall, and their ‘SHORT’ jeans fit me perfectly. I definitely recommend them.
