That sounds like it’s going to look awful. Have they even thought about how that will look?

ETA: The only thing I can think of that won’t look awful is a sweater vest?

I just tried google searching this combo, nothing even comes up! Do they realize how hard it will be to find these things?

Did your SIL see the combo somewhere and could give you a clue on where to purchase?  What about one of the tux rental places, maybe they have just a vest you can rent?

Maybe she can change it to jeans, a white button down and a teal tie? That at least matches. Polos and vests don’t go together. I also don’t think jeans and a vest go together (unless it’s a country western wedding).

I think that as the bride she should pick out his outfit and you just pay. I know brides think they’re being accomodating by saying “wear whatever you want” but they’re not. It’s much easier to just pick from options.

@jersharocks:  I kind of like this look, but eesh with the color scheme. That’s also NOT a polo.

hrm…. i hope the hats are included too becaucase they up the cool quotient a bit on that choice. thats cool that she is paying since i doubt there will be much cause to wear turquoise vests again in most dudes’ lives!

i vote that she goes shopping with you for sure so that she gets what she wants.
