How did you word attire on the wedding website if you have one? Right now, I just wrote “formal” but i’m wondering if I should have a sentence or something. Do I even have to mention formal? It is a summer wedding at a country club (without a dress code).

I hate linking to another thread in response, but this is how we mentioned it on our site – it got rave reviews! http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/the-most-commented-on-page-of-our-website-is Seriously, we had so many people tell us that they loved that page.

i made light of mine and linked to a couple terrible pictures and said “don’t come dressed like this, this, this or this! 😀 seriously though, there’s no need to break out long gowns or tails, but as long as you’re comfortable we’d be delighted if you arrived in cocktail attire”

@ddw: I was just searching for your post!!! I borrowed (stole the entire page) and put it on my wedding website too! People loved it and thank goodness no hawaiin shirts or khaki cargo pants were passed off as formal attire at my wedding.
