I have a fit and flare lace strapless dress. Getting married in a church and my hair will be done something like this, I chose “side do” on you poll cuz it was the closet fit I think.

I’m a July bride, but close enough 🙂 I am planning on wearing my hair down, and slightly wavy/curly. We’re getting married outside in an orchard and the reception is in a barn. My dress is an ivory lace fit and flare. I’m a little worried about the heat, but I’m thinking I can tough it out for a few hours for the ceremony and pics, because the barn is air conditioned, thank goodness!

    Hope this helps!

I still can’t decide…. either side ponytail or side bun. I really need to make a decision

    Undecided still…LOL

    Dress Style: sheath

    Venue: beach ceremony indoor reception

Not sure if I should cut my hair to create bangs, if I do I’d go with this style

if I don’t then I’ll do beach waves with a big ole flower

My dress is a silk a-line. We are doing a beach ceremony and indoor reception; it will be late afteroon, so, hopefully, the heat will have died down a bit.

I am definitely doing an updo!

@Cantstartafire1:  I love your hair, it looks perfect! Can I ask what the person that did your hair used to create your look! Do you have layers in your hair? I had my trial a couple weeks ago and I wish it had turned out like yours but it didn’t! lol

@blondiegirl:  Aww, well I am a hairstylist and know a couple little tricks of the trade 🙂 I have hair just passed my shoulders and it’s fine. So I got EuroNext Extensions from sally’s the 18 inch ones. We Place those in my hair while teasing at the root, and using a little volume root powder. Then using a flat iron to curl the hair, and also a thick wand. Once the hair was curled we just pulled it to the side. I do have layers in my hair before adding extensions. My shortest layer is just passed my chin. I have it angled cut in the front then layered all over. I hope this helps and if you have any hair questions just ask away 🙂

@Cantstartafire1:  I don’t think I could even attempt to achieve what you’ve done, I have no layers in my hair at all. It is naturally stick straight and pretty thick! Here are a couple pics one directly after hair/makeup trial the curls had already began to fall and one from my recent bridal portraits! I wasn’t totally happy at all with how it turned out, including my make up although it looked pretty good for portraits! All she did was curl it with a regular size curling iron, rolled each curl up into ringlets, bobby pinned them and let it sit for 15 min. and then let it out. She had teased it at the crown of my head which I liked the added poof it gave me but hated all the whispy ratty hairs every wear, and the lift at the crown fell quickly also! We actually didn’t get along too well, she wasn’t happy that I wasn’t totally happy and pretty much told me to find someone else if I didn’t like what she did! I am stuck with her though as I know of no one else in my area on such a short notice, and don’t have the money for another trial! Do you have any suggestions on what would be the best thing to do for my hair? So here they are:

@blondiegirl:  The Best way for curls to hold is to use a curling wand! the bigger the section the bigger the curl. I would call and ask if she could use that for your wedding day. Also If she is teasing at the crown , ask if she can use a volume powder before teasing, then tease, then spray with a hair spray . I would do all areas that needed teasing, then I would go back and smooth the areas. Also she should be doing the teasing while she is curling!!! The wand curls only need to be sprayed with a strong hold hairspray and they should stay. On your wedding I would spray alot of hair spray and do a shake test to make sure you feel like the curls won’t fall. If you don’t know what i’m talking about..here is an example. You know when you curl your hair with a curling iron and it still feels clean and you can run your fingers through it? You don’t want that because that’s a sure fire sign the curl will fall within hours. You need your curls to feel sticky but not appear it. NO Squirt hair spray! I love Redken Quick Dry or Colorproof Hairspray with the orange top. There is also a hairspray by Joico that stylist refer to as ICE..It will hold no matter what with that stuff. Also if you want more movement, your stylist needs to take smaller sections with the wand. It looks as if she just took big sections, curled them, and that was that. Also, who cares what she feels. She is a stylist. It is her job to make sure each client is happy with their results. It’s your wedding day , don’t worry if you feel pushy asking her to do what I said above. If that’s what you want, the client is always right 🙂 I wouldn’t worry about her feelings and focus on exactly the look you want for your big day! I hope these tips help! If you have any other questions just message me 🙂

Had my hair trial yesterday! She kind of just threw it up, so it will look much more polished the day of, but i think it looked good!

Sorry the photos are so big!

Also, I have VERY thin, fine hair… and she actually made it look like I had HAIR!
