Please vote on the following idea on the idea board. There have been new user profile changes. Newbees who join the board must put their wedding date, which is sort of hard when you’re waiting :D. I think it may turn away some waiting bees and this is the best community that I have found for those of us that are nearly engaged. Currently, those of us who aren’t engaged cannot even update our profile without adding a wedding date. I chuckled after seeing I couldn’t add my blog, can you imagine the congrats if I added a date?! lol!!!! and the subsequent embarrassment of me!!! I’d love to see something like wedding date/length of time with your SO option instead..
Please cast your vote so that we can get it changed!!

… but there are alot of people that don’t have dates, I thought? Confused.

It’s a new feature, if you go in and try to change something it won’t let you change it without a wedding date. I don’t know when it started but I just noticed it.

Ya I agree – I get so confused when I see a waiting bee with a date and I liked that I didn’t have to put one in when I signed up as a waiting bee!

Thanks for those of you that voted and to be clear, i definitely think the dates are there to prevent vendor spam, that’s why i wanted an option of the length of time you’ve dated your significant other….
i feel like i am on a campaign or something like that, but there are a huge number of waiting bees on the waiting list and i’d love to hear what everyone has to say about this…

I totally agree with this! Thanks so much for the initiative crebre80!

I went ahead and voted for this- good idea! :o)

Thanks for making the announcement about this one. I just voted.

I voted too! When I signed up, it didn’t have a wedding date required.

I voted too. I can’t remember if I had to enter a date when I signed up. For now, can’t you put a tentative date like 12.31.12 or something just so you don’t have to worry about it & can still post?

I also voted. Now it all makes sense, I always wondered why there were waiting bees with dates. I was confoozied.

Hmm.. Can you write “Waiting” in the date field? Or does it have to be numerical? Sorry if you’re way ahead of me here.
@modern: it has to be numerical 🙁 I’d love to write waiting
@Dancy: we can definitely add a date and I almost did when I tried to update my profile, but I post so much people may have thought that I was engaged and come to congratulate me etc and then well I’d have to say no, i’m STILL not engaged… and just didn’t want to go through that (this post was actually made because I’m being selfish :D)
