Not an Austinite (only at heart!) but uhh…if I give you ten bucks, can you run down to trudy’s, pick me up a stuffed avocado in suiza sauce and ship it over to me? Thanks! 🙂

Love Austin. Where are you getting married?

Love me some Austin! Unfortunately, due to prices, we’re actually getting married in Kyle,  cuz we found an awesome venue for an awesome price. 🙂

We’re gonna be at Redbud Hall at Texas Old Town.

The price was right, the place is gorgeous and it has a rain/bad weather option for the ceremony (since you never know what the weather will be like in Texas in December)!

I LOVED Mercury Hall, but alas it just didn’t work for us. It’s soooo beautiful, and you’re wedding will be totally AWESOME!

Mercury Hall! Lucky! We *almost* got married in Austin. For a quick minute we were looking at Laguna Gloria, but decided not to after all was said and done.

Mercury Hall is wonderful!  I have been to so many beautiful weddings there!

We were married at Hummingbird House in South Austin.

So happy to see more Austin brides!! I live in Austin and will be getting married in November.  We haven’t found the right venue yet but I do have my inspiration board!

I’m an Austinite but getting married in St. Andrews Scotland. My groom is Scottish and all of his family is there.

We are so excited to have a destination but it’ll be a bit challenging to work with all our vendors from here. Luckily, the future Mother-In-Law is there and more than willing to assist.

Wow, what a great thread. I moved to ATX about seven months ago to be with Fiance while he does the grad school thing. We are the only members of our familes living in Austin, so our wedding is pretty much a Destination Wedding for everyone but us.

Originally we were hoping for an outdoor summer wedding, but man oh man did last summer change my mind! Now we’re trying to find the perfect venue to host an outdoor event in DECEMBER. I know…even we think it’s a little crazy.

As of right now we’re pretty set on having the wedding at KaliKate in Buda (great stone fireplace, plenty of heaters if it’s cold, shelter if it rains…), but the price is a little steeper than we were hoping to pay (about $4500 with labor for a five hours on a Friday).

We love Austin so far, but it’s tricky trying to plan a wedding in a new city.  If any other Austin brides have some venue suggestions that might work, I’d love to hear them!

@AmberFl:  I really liked Star Hill Ranch. We were going to have ours here if we hadn’t decided to do a destination wedding.

You’re basically booking like the replica of a small town. Super Cute. They hav a little white chapel for the wedding ceremony as well as an outdoor ceremony spot.

@AmberFl:  Hey girl! I already posted further up the page with our venue, Texas Old Town. We’re getting married 15 days after you guys (Dec 29, 2012), and are planning on an outdoor ceremony (fingers crossed!) Oh how I love Texas winters!

Good luck with your planning!
