Aziz Ansari’s Modern Romance – it’s about dating today.  i’ve been married for 3 years and still found it hilarious.

Mindy Kaling’s – Is Everybody Hanging Out without Me?

I listen to audiobooks in the car all the time during my commute.  SO much of what is in print or digital format is also audio.  Sandra Brown is a great author.

Just look for books you want to read and see if they are available on audio.

The Martian book was awesome. The guy who reads it does it in such an awesome way. I couldn’t turn it off, I found myself sitting in my car in the driveway because I was enjoying it so much. I loved the movie too, but listening to the book just can’t be beat.

greylipstick:  I’m going to throw another vote in there for the Outlander series. There’s 8 books right now (I think) and they’re all 40-50ish hours a piece so they’ll last a good while. I’m on the 6th book now. My mother is the one who originally recommended them and she’s also read several of the other series you listed as having read and loved those.

I’d also throw in A Song of Ice and Fire series, if you’re into Game of Thrones or fantasy-type stuff. I read them all (not-audio) but I imagine that they’d be good for audio as well, and they’re loooong.

greylipstick:  Mary Kubica has two books that are excellent. I just read Leah Remini’s book about scientology and that was awesome. I assume you can get these all on audiobook! Also, just started the 5th Wave.

Give “Golden Age Radio” or “ORT Radio” a try. They are vintage dramatizations, dopey comedies, science fiction, and n endless supply.

Many are VERY dated, but can also be a window to history.

You’ll probably love them or hate them- I LOVE them!
