KristinGlamazon:  I like Audrey Christine. Honestly my middle name is Marie and I hate it. It was super trendy around my birth :/.

Haha it’s kinda funny for me- My middle name is Christine and my little sister’s first name is Audrey. I never thought about putting them together since we both just go by our first names. Both are pretty so they’d be pretty together (since logic works like that, right? Mine does at least!).

I think Marie flows better with Audrey and has a more feminine feel, but Christine sounds more substantial and interesting. It depends on your taste really. Both names are not trendy in the current generation, which is great as they won’t be overdone. I love the names you’ve chosen for your little girl.

As a child of the 60s/70s when Marie was an incredibly common middle name it just sounds like filler to me. I appreciate names that have significance–especially names that honor family members.

What?! My middle name is Marie and I am quite fond of it :/

It was my great grandmothers name.

KristinGlamazon:  I love the name Audrey, so that’s a huge win already. Audrey Christine wins because it’s so elegant and feminine:-)

I like Marie but then I’m biased. I think there is a reason as to why it has been so popular in the past.  It is beautiful, short and sweet.

beethree about Marie sounding like a filler middle name, except where I grew up this trend apparently extended as far as babies born in the late ’80s/early ’90s.

My niece is Audrey Jane, my vote was for Audrey Christine. I like the other but I feel like Marie and Rose are both SUPER common middle names at least where I am from. lol

beethree:  My middle name is Marie, my cousin’s middle name is Marie, half of my eighth grade class’s middle name was Marie. I’m totally of the “Marie is a filler name” camp, even though it’s a nice name. My vote is for Audrey Christine, but I’m obviously rather biased on this one!

I feel that Marie is timeless, while Christine is dated. Audrey Marie, however, is a little rhymey and sing-songy for my taste. Would you consider Audrey Maria, Audrey Marielle, or Audrey Mariella?

My vote is for Audrey Christine. Aurdrey Marie flows a bit better but I agree with the PPs who said it just sounds like a filler name. It’s a fine name, but it seems like every other woman I meet has the middle name Marie.
