Hey!  I’m finally getting excited about August 🙂  We are having a 2 year engagement, so I’ve taken a few planning breaks.

So far we’ve booked:

ceremony/reception venue, caterer, photog, dj, cake

I have my dress, ordered my shoes, and still need to do alterations on my dress (I have my bra & unmentionables, but I am waiting on the shoes!)

Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses chosen, some have ordered their dresses, some have not

I designed an invitation on vistaprint, but have not ordered it yet.

We still need to purchase things for and make centerpieces, favors, and flower stuff.

We have asked a dear friend to be our officiant (get ordained online) but we may need to come up with a back-up plan since he’s having trouble finding a website to use that allows him to marry people in our state.

I’m getting excited about completing DIY projects and stuff, I have been just hanging around, waiting for so long that it kind of snuck up on me!

Since I’ll be returning to school full time in June, I’m trying to get everything done now so I don’t have to stress out about school AND a wedding at the same time.  Only 4 things left to do:

  1. Pick up dress from the tailor (tomorrow!)
  2. Have guys get measured for tuxes (appt. set for June 2nd)
  3. Get shoes for wedding dress (appt. set for May 29th)
  4. Get wedding license (3 weeks before wedding)

I can’t believe we’ve gotten everything else done…yay!  We’ve received about a 1/3rd of the respones from the invitations we sent out.  So far, only 2 aren’t coming, the rest were all yeses.  We’re still estimating about 35 to 50 people (we want a small wedding)

I can’t wait to get my dress from the tailor tomorrow!!!!
