Hey! WE are date buddies. Looks like you are past all the big things!

I was in the hospital for most of this last month, unexpectedly. So things are a bit behind schedule for us. I did just mailed out my save the dates today!

Currently I am working on:

-Finalized things with the photographer (price & package)

-Still looking for a catholic priest that will marry us outside. If not find someone else!

-Figure out what color the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses will be and have them ordered (takes 2 mths)

-Find shoes

There is tons more we have to do but this is what I am currently trying to get done.

Man, time is flying.  We’ve been engaged almost a whole year now!  Crazy crazy…

This month I will:

  • Put the addressses I just got from my mother into the master list
  • finish the back side of our save the date postcard (tonight!)
  • Order save the dates, send them
  • Start invitation design
  • Look at wedding bands on a weeknight (maybe after v-day, the jewelry stores are too crowded right now…)
  • Celebrate our Engageaversary and Valentine’s day
  • Turn 27 years old (okay, not really wedding related, but that is the age I’ll be when I get married!)
  • Go shopping for Maid/Matron of Honor dresses
  • Work on non-spray painting DIY projects I have going, brooch bouquet, signs for tables, cookie table stuff, ring warming tree painting, etc.
  • Help Fiance with honeymoon stuff
  • Work with Fiance on a day-of schedule rough draft

Totes doable in this short month.

Wow, six months fifteen days…scary.  Our to-dos:

  • Invitations. This is the groom’s area and he has been given a deadline to finish them as well as when they should be in the mail.  We have some really long-distance relatives which is why I want them out with five months’ notice
  • Figure out something for me to borrow. I don’t know HOW to plan to borrow something, but I’ve got old & new & blue covered.
  • Start thinking about ceremony/reception details.

We have:

  • round 2 of pre-cana
  • florist appointment
  • maybe my hair trial

Meanwhile, we meet with the contractor doing the bathroom upgrades in the new house Monday, and the installer is putting in our new exterior doors on Tuesday.  Trucking along here…

Wow I can’t belive its been a year and a 1/2 of planning and our wedding will be here in 6 months! This month is another quiet one for us. With all the big vendors out of the way, we will be focusing on more of the little projects. I have some DIY things I want to finish and I am also going for a hair and make up trial. Hopefully this will be the last one ๐Ÿ™‚ I have found it so hard to find someone up in our area but wish me luck, 3rd times the charm!

  • Find Officiant (We really need to find ours like ASAP)
  • Finalize things with the DJ.
  • Put in the order for flowers
  • Order table runners
  • Work on DIY projects.
  • Bridemaid dress shopping
  • Going in and checking out Tuxes
  • Make appointment for our tasting!

I am sure I am sure there is more but this is all I can think of at the moment!

I can’t believe January is over T_____________T okay, let’s see….

  • tasting at our venue (booked for the 14th!)
  • find a nice sketchbook for our guestbook – I already got one but thinking I need a different one with heavier paper
  • decide on additional decor details, what we have seems too sparse, not “complete”
  • continue work on designing invitations/menus/programs etc.
  • dance lessons!
  • select some music for specific moments

I’m sure there’s more… there’s always more!

  • 2nd meeting with our Reverend
  • Get the invitation pieces ordered so we can put them together
  • get an itemized list from the florist so I can see how much money we’ll be spending with him.
  • Buy our rings
  • try and order another headband
  • Look for and order my “under wedding dress” stuff!

And last but not least, take a weekend trip to NYC for Valentines+3 year dating-versary.
