HisBrownEyedGirl: I just made a post on this haha – we have less time than you we JUST got our final RSVPs in (a few people were late) so now we can finalize numbers with the caterer, buy our alcohol, and book our rentals. We still have a lot of final meetings with vendors. This will actually be good to write out my final to-do list!

We need to:

Talk to the DJ about the timeline and when he has to announce speeches etc, and we need to give him our music list. We also need to talk to him about the sound for the outdoor ceremony, and our venue never got back to us about the sound system so I need to hound them.

Meet with our bakers and pay our final deposit & wrap everything up.

Talk to the photographer about final timeline

Give final headcount to caterer, have caterer talk with rental company to figure out what we need, figure out logistics of getting alcohol to caterer before wedding (will do that week) remind caterer to make signs for buffet

Give final direction to my friend who will be setting up centerpieces etc

Buy alcohol and soda

Find something to put our rings in!

Find something to put our candy favors in

Finish escort cards and centerpieces

Print out photos that we will be placing around venue

Find outdoor toys/bubbles

Find jewelry – actually all I need now is a bracelet

Find something blue and something borrowed

Order flowers for bouquets (blooms by the box)

Practice hair a few more times (I’m doing my own)

Figure out how many smaller tables we need (they come with venue) to put guest book, escort cards, cupcakes etc. Logistically not sure where we are putting all this stuff haha

Final dress fittings-one or two

Send info to family about rehearsal, send family timelines for speeches

Finish ceremony and vows, decide on which readings we want friends to do

Get presents for

remember to bring check for DJ to be paid day-of

Find card box for our sweetheart table

Pay final deposits to venue, photog, caterer, baker

Get marriage license

God this sounds like a lot and I’m sure I’m missing stuff!

I’m August 30th, so 7 weeks out (eek!). I am feeling just a bit overwhelmed thinking about everything I have left to do! Chronic procrastinator here.

Invitations go out Monday, (the 19th is the 6 week mark), I’ll be stuffing envelopes all weekend!

Pick out linens and rentals at the end of this month (my wedding planner also owns the rental company, so no huge rush there)

Final meeting with florist for revisions

Place order at bakery (petit fours in lieu of wedding cake)

At least 2 more dress fittings

Choose and meet with officiant

Choose ceremony music and musicians

Book makeup trial with my MUA

Choose hairstylist/ book trial

Bridal portraits

Choose gifts for parents

Finalize details with our band (first dance song, announcements, etc)

Decide on transportation (not sure if we want to shuttle the entire bridal party to/from ceremony together or separately)

Final decision on what the guys will wear

A few small DIY projects

And of course the hundred or so decisions about tiny details I can’t even think of at the moment…

I’m an August 2nd bride, so I only have 3 weeks left! Eeeek! Here’s my list:

Make final payments

Pick songs for dances and slideshows

Hair trial

Finish bathroom baskets

Finalize cake with baker

Seating chart

Finalize/approve paper products (program, wedpics card, banner, etc)

Get marriage license

Make slideshow

Make photolist for photographer & person in charge of pics

Finish assembly of 2 signs we’re making

Decide on a kissing game (probably couples trivia – if so, make up questions!)

….I really hope thats all there is!

Here is mine for august 30th! our rsvps will be finalized in the next week. I do have a wedding planner so I didn’t write down things like making the timeline or paying vendors because she will do that stuff (or prompt me to do it when the time is right). I already have the bridemaids gifts ready to go, just have to fill out the attached cards (In other words, I didn’t just get them cards! Haha). Oh and I still have my dress fittings but those are all booked so I’m not too fussed about them. I’m definitly not a procrastinator – i almost wish I had more to do! I want to speed up the next 7 weeks!

We are August 9th and are also doing a semi-destination wedding (meaning it is in a different province so I cant just whiz over to our venue and actually see things before I rent/buy them!)

Get the last few RSVPs in. Have final head count so I know how much of everything we need!

Talk to Fiance about ceremony music and some reception music; talk to our ceremony musician and dj to make sure its do-able.

Meet with all the vendors (this will be done in the 1 week leading up to the wedding date, gonna be a busy week!)

Coordinate travel and trasportation.

Decide if we are doing program fans or anything like that

Write names on placecards

Do seating chart

Marriage license!

Go over ceremony stuff with pastor (who is also my dad lol) and Fiance so we know what we want to do.

Put together favors

Most definitely more things than that but Im starting to panic with writing them all down! lol

HisBrownEyedGirl: These are the major things: Figuring out the music, we’re iPoding our wedding and so far we only have a pretty good idea of what we want. We’re still waiting on the last few RSPVs (akkk!). We still have to meet with our officient (a good friend of ours) to write the ceremony. And the cake topper that was supposed to be a quick and easy design project has turned into this nightmare project… I’m about ready to say screw it and order little people. We also still have the last little bits of honeymoon planning. It seems overwhelming, but I guess when I look at it like this it really isn’t that bad.
