I have booked: venue, photographer, DJ, cake, hotel block at the hyatt where we are getting married but still need to look for another option for guests, my dress and shoes. Save the dates were sent out in November. I have picked out invites but haven’t ordered them. I still need flowers ( appt Sat morning) and officiant. We pick our menu in April. I still feel like I’m behind on things.

Does anyone else here hate wedding planning? So much pressure for perfection for one day. Deep down I know I would’ve loved just running off to Vegas, but a little too late for that now…

We’re having a very small wedding, so not as much planning required, thankfully. Here’s what I’ve done and still need to do.

-Ceremony site

-Restaurant for dinner reception

To do:

-Chair rental

-Find pearl earrings to match necklace

-Outfit for him

-Have sister record walk-down-the-aisle song

-Cake…or whatever dessert we go with

-Marriage license

-“Guestbook” (We’re having everyone sign a vinyl album of our favorite record, idea I stole from a colleague. Just need to make sure I can find one!)

-Potential gifts for guests?

-Book flights/hotels for honeymoon

ShoeGal89:  There have been SOO many times where I’ve looked at my fiance and seriously said I want to elope. It would be so much easier for us to just go away and have a party when we get home. Then I think of all the important people we’d miss being there and (shallow or not) I want to show my beautiful dress off!!

Everyone is so organized! Wow! Love it!

-MC (my old friend from university who I reconnected with after my attendants were all picked out but is still very special to me)

-MadLibs type thing for guest at each place on tables

Still need:

-To write personal notes to all of our attendants, parents, and MC to put with their gifts
