I had a call with my ob/gyn today to see what she thought about our 6 months of nothing but a CP.  She mostly said to keep going and that the fact that I’m ovulating and got pregnant are good signs (I’m not totally sold on a CP being a good sign, lol!), but she also offered a referral to infertility to see what they think.

So, on to the specialists I go!  There’s a chance they might also tell us to just keep trying for now, but at least they might have a little more to say about some of our specific concerns.  It feels good to take action after so much time of wait and see.

@electrichedgehog:  that’s great that you got a referral!  Hopefully you end up not needing it anyways, but I’m glad taking action is making you feel good!

@electrichedgehog:  I was told the same thing about my miscarriage (that 1 MC is actually considered a “net positive” from a fertility standpoint cause it means you can get pregnant). Sure didn’t feel that way at the time, but I did end up conceiving a sticky baby a few months later so FX your rainbow is right around the corner! And that’s great your OB gave you the referral to the RE, always good to be proactive!

@morecookiesplease:  I hope so too!  She told me to keep trying in the meantime, lol… not a problem!

@emilyofnewmoon:  That’s good to hear another sucess story after an MC.  I know they’re really common and often not a recurring issue.  I think I happen to have a few data points in my circle of people for whom they did turn out to be a big long-term problem, so my perception is skewed.  Good to balance it out with more positive outcomes!

@electrichedgehog:  to be fair I also had two back to back early CPs right after my MC so I was definitely freaking out at that point. My OB ran a bunch of tests for recurrent loss, everything came back normal, and I randomly got pregnant with a sticky one the next cycle.

It was a wild ride. The cycle I conceived my daughter, I had started taking COQ10 for egg health, baby aspirin to prevent clotting that can cause early MC, and red raspberry leaf tea in the FP for lining health. Dunno if it was just a coincidence but that was the cycle we lucked out!

This is our first cycle trying for #2 and it’s looking like a bust (AF due Sunday, BFNs so far). I might get back on the old regimen for our next cycle ..

@vintagebee17:  Thanks! We both cried. It was very emotional. I don’t think either of us feels excited, but we are pleased, thankful and tentatively hopeful.

I’m 5 DPO today and woke up with pretty bad cramps — they only lasted ~20 minutes though, and then just went away. I’m wondering if it’s possible that it’s implantation related?? It seems too early but maybe possible?
