1. Our hotel upgraded us to stay in our Deluxe Suite for all 3 nights we’re staying there!! Woohoo! (it’s free the night of the wedding but the next 2 nights we were booked in a standard room at the discounted nightly rate they gave all our guests for the wedding – they upgraded it to stay in our Deluxe at no additional charge)

2. SUPER stoked about that one – there’s a huge jaccuzzi in there! :p  Now we can actually enjoy it!

3. My South African girlfriends just threw me a bachelorette here this past weekend and it was an absolute blast!! (Although I ended up wasted in the end and the last couple hours of the night allude me lol) Ooh and they got me a ‘toy’ ๐Ÿ˜‰ that I’ve been wanting for ages and am psyched about haha

4. I still have my bridal shower and bachelorette in the states to look forward to in 2.5 weeks! I think my bridal shower is only going to be like 20 people or so but it’ll be great to celebrate with those who can make it..  and all our luggage was purchased from our registry which was the main things we really wanted! ๐Ÿ˜€

5. My mom loves her dress and feels beautiful in it which makes me happy.

6. We’ve sorted out a plan for how we’re going to pay for the honeymoon that we’re both comfortable with which has taken a lot of stress off our plates.

7. I just had my engagement ring fixed and now my set looks amazing together which is a HUGE relief!! I’m so happy with how it turned out. ๐Ÿ™‚

8. We’re the only event at my venue the entire day so we have the whole place to ourselves! Which means we get to use all 3 bridal suites (which means we can actually all get ready there haha) and we can use the upper ceremony area which is the nicer of the 2 (we would otherwise be allocated the lower one).

9. It looks like we’re going to make our minimum which I was quite nervous about! (Half our invited guests were international and the majority of them naturally can’t make it – so also grateful for those who can).

A few people are RSVPing NO (which is a GOOD thing, because we’re right where our caterer wants things capped).

My mom got her dress and looks beautiful!

Finally got my fiance’s suit and he looks like a STUD.

He’s also promised to not be a grouch about pictures (he hates standing around for them).

I decided that trying to make a floral crown the day of the wedding is too much of a hassle, and found out a local flower shop can do it for only $25-30.  I’d SO rather throw a little money at that problem than deal with it.

Found a welcome dinner dress that *hopefully* will be cute?

All my far-flung cousins, who I’m very close to, have found a way to get to the middle of nowhere for the wedding.  Ditto for my 5 best friends from college!

All the final catering decisions, which were kind of hanging over my head, are done and made.

I GET TO MARRY MY LOVE IN 3.5 WEEKS!

2 yays today!

Yay #1 – the one party I hadn’t heard from with my invites called me at work, and they’re coming!  They just had a baby but are hiring a sitter and coming to the wedding.  Just in time for…

Yay #2 – I fixed the typo on the evening before BBQ invitations, printed & stuffed the envelopes and dropped them in the office mail, including my two new guests.  Hooray!

There’s $315 cash that’s standing between me and the finish line for paying off this wedding.

THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN DOLLARS. I need to get creative…and I have 23 days to do it.

@TaurianDoll:  Haha, we have like $450 left. I haven’t even figured out whose account it’s coming out of yet, but IDGAF anymore. It’s for our photographer and she’s cool, so we aren’t worried.

Well I’m pretty busy at work with a couple reports, so I probably don’t have to go out and do field work for the next 1.5 weeks, 12 hours a day 7 days a week in a place 5 hours from here!  AWESOME!  I can have the last couple weeks before the wedding to accomplish things in the evenings and be around my fiance.  The overtime would have been nice but he’s got a great new job, so we’re feeling rich compared to the last 10 years of our life together!

Bought bridesmaid jewelry and it looks so good with the dresses

I went shopping at a consignment store last Saturday and found a replacement dress that’s awesome!  Plus it needed NO alterations  Then I found someone to sew in a bustle and steam it!

I got super lucky.

@jsanford:  Nice, that’s gorgeous!

We got a wedding gift yesterday from someone who told us to send them an invitation so that they could send us a gift (parents of someone that Future Father-In-Law coached years ago; apparently Future Father-In-Law changed the kid’s life), YAY.
