Im also doing half up half done, and my wedding is entirely outdoors (tented reception). I just don’t like pictures of me with my hair up so other than entirely down, I don’t have a lot of options. I’m more concerned about the curls falling out than the heat, though!

And im excited for August but I still have so much to do still, I’m not wishing summer away just yet. In fact, time could slow down a little πŸ™‚

LemonColoredLamps:  My wedding is August 27 this year (a Thursday) and I couldn’t be more excited!!

I know it’s probably going to be super hot but I’m most comfortable with my hair down so that’s how I’m wearing it. I am considering one updo because of the heat but these are the two I’m sort of between:

or this:

I love how loose and flowy it is πŸ™‚

3 months to the date for us! Our wedding is the 22nd. Our whole event is outdoors with the ceremony starting at 4:30 so my hair will be up! Fortunately I love updo’s so I don’t mind, and I have a fantastic necklace that I want to wear down my back anyway! I really like the overall shape of the first pic, but I want something a bit more polished, like the third.

LemonColoredLamps:  I am doing a side bun but I didn’t even think about keeping it up because of the heat, I was thinking more so because of how my dress is designed and I didn’t want to cover up any of the details but yes the heat will be a factor as well! We are marrying on August 15th in an outdoor garden ceremony at 6pm so I am praying that as the sun is making its way down it maybe won’t be too insufferable but either way, we don’t plan on the ceremony being longer than 15 minutest TOPS and then we are headed into the A/C of the reception hall. 77 days to go and counting. I absolutely cannot wait!!! <3

LemonColoredLamps:  I just got married, so it was in May but it is South Texas and hot.  We had the wedding and reception inside but took photos outside and I had half up half down.  I say, do what you want! πŸ™‚ I wanted my photos to look how I normally do and how I normally wear my hair.

I had long hair and an august wedding, so I wore it up. even if your venue has AC, you might get hot anyway, just from running around entertaining and whatnot. also, pictures take a long time, you might be outdoors longer than you think.

a good updo is going to stay in place and look the same all day/night.

I’m on the 7th and think I’m going to go with a side swept, hand up, half down look. Our ceremony is outdoors and the reception is indoors. I don’t want a full updo but I am worried it’ll be a sticky mess if I leave it completely down.

I am aug 22nd but in australia so it is actually winter.

I am really torn on my hair options at the moment. I had a trial for it being up and it just didnt  seem right . I chose this style for reference.

And if i was to go hair down it might be like this

so my issues are:

time of year is the windiest time for our location.

Its winter and mountaintop so will be cold.

I get head aches easily and usually spend most of my time putting hair up and taking it down in half hour repeatedly.

If its down will the curls drop? Will the wind turn it into a birds nest?

If i wear it down and wear the veil i wont be able to fit in the beautiful lace piece i baught.

I’m also an August bride but here in SA it’s winter! I’m going with an updo as it’s less likely to get ruined in the wind!
