Mine is a bit crazy…being the destination wedding and needing to know who’s coming for travel and planning etc. mine are already out and the RSVP deadline is April 15th!

It works out ok though because guests had actually been asking me about dates, plans, etc. and when the invites were going out, so I decided to just send them and let everyone plan away.

I’m not an August 12 bride, but I got married August 2011!  We sent our invites out in June (I think June 1), and had the RSVP deadline August 1.  Our wedding was August 21st.  I wanted to leave enough time to track down those who failed to send back the RSVP before the catering deadline.  We had to have our count for the caterer by August 11.  I’d recommend leaving several days between the RSVP deadline and any other deadlines you have with your reception hall/caterer.  Because you will most likely have a few stragglers!  (And if you don’t, lucky you!!)

Hoping to send mine the first week of may for a reply date of June 15th! The wedding is aug 4th, but we need to let the venue know the final number by July 4th! So that will give me 2 weeks to chase all of FI’s friends who don’t reply 😉

We are getting married August 18th. Our out of town guests invitations were mailed today. The remaining guest will be getting there invites within the next 2 weeks. Our RSVP date is July 12th to allow time for the straglers.

FYI: From witnessing my brothers issues with no responses…..I have taken the advise I read in a brides magazine. I have given each invite/guest/couple an assigned #. that number was placed on the back of the RSVP card. So if we get any back that have the number of guests, with no names ( yes this happened to my brother ) or no response at all….I will know whom to call to follow up.  found this to be a GREAT idea!

I’m thinking we’ll send Save the Date e-mails for our at home reception(on the 18th) this weekend. Then we’ll send the actual invites mid June.

We only have close family coming to the wedding – they all know and are planning on being there. BUT we’re going to still send formal invites at the end of May.
