Arg!

I don’t know if we will be “allowed” to use the sound system at our venue (national park where we are both employed, management team from HELL)…but we are making arrangements to quietly bribe someone to show us how and use it anyway, so it’s not too stressful I suppose.

I have no idea about our vows, I have been looking them up for days and I am shocked at how what I want (a mildly tweaked, short traditional vow) is turning out to be soooo hard to decide on!

We have not heard that our officiant has gotten ordained yet (he’s a judge, but in another state!

Only a week to go! A few things still need to be done though:

– Seating plan and escorts cards, Fiance is in charge of the escort cards and table numbers and he seems to think we still have another month

– Favors, they are just about done but need the ribbon and thank you sticker

– Parents gifts, we know exactly what we want to do but we need to actually get them

– Centerpieces, everything is where our wedding will be (2 hours away) so those won’t get done until the day before

– Ceremony music, we need to make the playlist, Fiance says he picked the music

– Honeymoon excursions, I would like to have a few things booked but if this doesn’t get done we can always do this once there so I am not stressing about this

The thing I am FREAKING out about right now is the weather. We are having an outdoor ceremony with pictures on the beach. It is projected to rain! We have a backup plan but it sucks. Fiance keeps yelling at me bacause it is still a week away but I just want a little sun to show up on my 10-day forcast!

I need to:

Order ceremony chairs

Find an officiant (ours couldn’t do it after all, and our back up dropped out!)

Finish DIY products

Get the Fiance to pay deposits and get the tuxes ordered

Coordinate with our caterer (FI’s boss, so no problem with this being last minute)

…and some other small things, those are just the biggies. My Maid/Matron of Honor is getting married in a week so I’m more focused on helping her out right now. I’ve also developed an ulcer and can’t keep any food down, so I’m taking the weekend off from wedding stuff to relax.

– timeline. Our coordinator and the band keep talking about timeline (like when we want  speeches, dances, etc to happen) and I’m so overwhelmed by it. I just want to tell them to just do whatever and ill go with it.

– the best man’s speech. I really am praying he doesn’t say something innapropriate.

– RSVPs – send them in people. Geez.

– a horrible fear of post-wedding depression. Is this normal (to be afraid of being sad after the wedding)?

Im sure there are other things…

@likelimeade:  I hear you on everything. I am nervous about the thumbprint tree too!!! Is someone going to mess it up!!!??

I am feeling good about most things…but it is the general fear that things aren’t just going to work out. I don’t have a planner so I’ve been coordinateing everything, and I worry that I forgot something.

Also- i live in NYC but my wedding is in the midwest which makes things really hard. I feel horrible that I left so much for my Mom to do.

Anyway…

Future Father-In-Law went in to the hospital last thursday. hes been in ICU for a week. lost control of all his movements in the left side. doctors say it wasnt a stroke. found a dime size spot in his brain. did absolutely nothing for a week. woke up one morning & lost his eye sight in both eyes. did brain surgery last night. its 5am as i type. Fiance and i have been here for a good 12 hours. staying the night so Future Mother-In-Law can go home and get some rest. bonus is that i got my seating chart done while sitting in here. but can barely get anything else done. hospital home bed hospital home bed repeat. currently waiting 1-3 days for brain surgery results. lots of puss and tissue was taken to the microbio team to see what the heck it is. so frustrating.

wedding is in 2 weeks. and Father-In-Law is going to miss it. his only sons wedding. because hes here in the hospital. and that of course has Future Mother-In-Law and all of FI’s family off the balance. had to coordinate with photographers yesterday to make a stop at the hospital between ceremony & reception. who imagined stopping in the ICU on their wedding day? not this girl. =/

sigh.

STRESS.

where to begin…

went for first dress fitting 6 WEEKS ago and after being told 7-10 days still not been back to try it back on! after numerous calls and chasing, with no avail, my future SIL rang and gave them a good telling off and i’m booked in wednesday. terrified that i’ve lost weight though, which is not a good thing. i’m already naturally a UK size 6 and loosing weight is not an option, so dress and weight loss are the major stressy things!

however other things are playing on my mind too..

the weather (certain its going to rain, but can’t see the weeks weather forecast until sunday, which if it’s gave out rain, i need to hire umberellas for the wedding)

been told we need 4 songs for the service, erm yeah we’d only picked one :/

all the suits are in transit and should arrive end of this week, preying they fit everybody.

panicking about my spray tan. my first trial was fab!! perfect colour, even, looked lovely. had another trial last week, was vile. colour was too light, and faded to almost nothing after the first shower.

wasn’t crazy about my hair trial, not so much th hairdressers wrong doing, it’s me still nto 100% decided what i actually want.

12 more sleeps eeeek STRESSS

@likelimeade:  You just reminded me that my Bridesmaid or Best Man who is supposed to make the tree for the thumbprint tree still hasn’t touched it.  I told her last week if she didn’t have tim to let me know so I can figure out Plan B and she said ‘but I want to’.  Um, that is irrelevant to you actually doing it.  My wedding is next weekend and I know for a fact you haven’t purcchased the supplies to make it!

5 days away for me!!! I just got an email from our cake person saying “what do you want your cupcakes to look like?” I picked the design from her pictures 7 months ago and have no idea what I picked! Ugh! I think we have it figured out, but it was not a fun email to get!

Otherwise… I think things are under conrtrol!

@FutureMsVW:  My friend is doing the music and just emailed me and asked ‘what music do you want us to play?’ Uh…I told you months ago.  How come we are the only people who remember these things and plan ahead?!  lol
