Hello August brides! Just curious as to how far all of you are in planning! I have decorations left to buy (almost all of them), purchasing wedding rings, buying Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts, getting accessories (veil, shoes & jewelery), and obtaining the marriage licence! Can’t believe my list of what seemed like 50 things is now dwindled down to 5 things! How about you girls? And is the stress starting to kick in!?

favors, flower girl dresses, my FI’s wedding band, 3 more bridesmaids need to order their dresses (they may drive me crazy), they all need to get shoes, flower girl gifts, junior bridesmaid gifts, groomsmen gifts, marriage license.
I think there’s more but I can’t think of anything right now.

Favors, wedding rings, dress alterations, my veil, bridal party gifts and marriage license. Not anything too big and honestly, I’m not stressed, just imPatient! With most of the wedding planned, I just want to get married already, not wait another four months.

So exciting! Doesn’t it feel great to be able to name off most of the things that are left! It makes me that much more impatient to wait the 4 months, haha! I’m so excited!

@krrmee5: actually yeah it feels pretty good seeing the list. I’m definatley starting to get excited!

Wedding bands, shoes and accessories for me, Shirt and tie for him, FLOWERS!!!!!!!, invitations put together, finish up ceremony order, program poster printed…
And too much more. I find the big stuff to be easy, and then comes all the gritty details that he has never even thought of.

@Selcier: Agreed! The smaller details lay inside my “decorations” task which will be a very tedious and long process! There are so many tiny details that you don’t even think about until you start planning a wedding, and that people around you forget about.. with every detail lays a tiny weight on my shoulders, which is equivilent to a HUGE weight lol!

– waiting for our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses to come in
– need to purchase ties for everyone
– need to figure out WTF to do about flowers
– need to put together our ceremony backdrop once I get the fabrics
– need to paint votive holders (it needs to get WARMER!!!)
– need to make my remembrance charms
– need to print off invitation envelopes (argh–this NEEDS to be done ASAP)
– need to get our marriage license (but we can’t do that until August)

@vorpalette: You seem super organized though! Which is great.. I would be nowehere without my lists.

August Brides, woop woop! I love this site for the brides, but I have to admit that I use weddingwire for their budget and list tools. There’s a TON of little things that it helps me to remember (or decide I don’t care about).

Yay August brides!!!
Up until yesterday, I had a lot of the big stuff out of the way, mostly small things left. I need to get my dress altered, finish invitations, get the rings and marriage license, finish my centerpieces, rent a tent and portable restrooms, finish off my favors, get Fiance motivated to get his tux…and that’s all!
At least, I wish that was all. We didn’t originally want a bridal party, but Fiance changed his mind and now MUST have a best man…Yeah, 115 days till the wedding and NOW he wants a best man, which means I need a Maid/Matron of Honor…So that’s kind of a big thing I need to work into the plans….*sigh* I’m starting with their clothes, getting a second bouquet made and re-working our ceremony processional and reception entrance…
Ladies, I’m feeling the stress!!!

@Lady Bape: I will have to check that out for sure! Lists mean every. thing. haha!
@dolly1105: It sounds like you’re way over the half way bump, most of the planning is out of the way which means it’s near! 🙂 And that’s not bad, only 1 on each side means only one of each! I understand the stress though, at this point everything in my mind is mostly finalized and staying that way. That’s part of what I use the bee for, to destress. Ps, we are date twins, YAY!

Wedding Bands (already picked out, purchasing in June)
Favors for guests + wedding party
Invitations + Programs
Marriage License (within 30 days of the wedding)
We secured all major vendors/decor within 5 months of engagement and have just been paying off things since then… we don’t have much left to do. Everything is scheduled to be paid off by July. Def the way to go to stay stress free!! (for now..haha!)
IS IT AUGUST YET?!?! WOOO-HOOO!!!! 🙂 🙂

-Putting Invitations Together
-Pre-Marital Counseling (1st session is next weekend)
-Hotel for wedding night
-Small Decorations(head table sign, sand ceremony sign, etc.)
-FIGURE OUT CENTERPIECES/FLOWERS!!! ARRRGH
