Babyfeevah:  I’m with you on thinking your first test might have been off. That looked pretty strong for a 6 DPO positive. That’s unusual for a FRER. Did the line show up within a few minutes? Sometimes if they set long enough, an evap will show up. I’ve already been fooled by an evap line and the dreaded white, shiney line so I know how bad it stinks.

FreckledFox:  Hey… you can’t come aboard the crazy train after one cycle!! Seriously though, the first BFN does sting. I had beginner’s luck on the first cycle. Then after my MC, I was POSITIVE that we’d get a BFP on the first try again. Remember, even with perfect timing, there’s only a 20% chance of conception. so chin up, lady!

BFN for me at 9 DPO. I waited until after I had coffee and did not use FMU, so my pee was diluted as hell. I know I’m not out, but I’m not hopeful. I feel like I have that midly crampy feeling like when I got my firs BFP, but I put zero weight on symptom spotting at this point. That was my last FRER so I think I’m stiking with my internet cheapies, which wouldn’t show up for a few days. I think I’ve stared down at least 50 FRERs over the last year, and I’m just done with it.

Babyfeevah:  hmmmm well your still only 8dpo so I’d wait a little bit….. I had the same test line as you when I got pg. it could be your still so early that you happened to catch the concentration of hormones (if you drink a bunch after just to pee it will be diluted)

maybe just hold on a few days And test again!! ๐Ÿ™‚

it really is hard, esp since we all take the stories of people we know who got pregnant on the first try and people who had years of trying and MC’s and fertility treatments and mix them into one big OMGwhatifthatsme??? 80% of us will get a BFP within 6 months…90% a year…pretty good stats!

FreckledFox:  Probably nothing wrong- your chart looks pretty textbook, which means its just a matter of luck before BFP. I feel the same way about my chart at this point- frustrating, so promising but BFN.  We’ll get it in the next 5 months probably – one month already down!  I keep telling myself the benefits of a June baby over a May baby.  1) gemini like me; 2) might share bday with my dad; 3) i’d still get september off!

Anyone else get crazy up and downs during AF?

jouissance:  I like your logic, I’ve got 3 months down already which means likely only 3 or less to a BFP…or 9 or less on the high end!

HeyJude72:  Yes.  Usually the week before (has not happened this month – odd).  Both my weight and my moods fluctuate a LOT.

HeyJude72:  Gotta keep yourself sane somehow.  I like countdowns.  I figure in the next 5 months I will distract myself with milestones:

September – getting our upstairs done in the house & my goal is to win a challenge at the spin and barre studio that i go to.

October – half marathon – my goal is to break 1:40, and I think I can do it; wedding to attend & Halloween

November- hosting our first Thanksgiving & the Philly marathon

December- hosting our first ever Christmas Eve celebration

That’s four months – odds are work will be nuts too.

Thanks for the words of encouragement ladies ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m still a little hopeful but also just bracing myself for AF as well. We’re traveling to Maine in mid sept during fertile week so that’s a consolation for next month ๐Ÿ™‚

jouissance:  Another thing, June is warmer so easier to have outdoor bday parties and my mom and MILs bdays are in June. It’ll still be during the school year. ๐Ÿ™‚

FreckledFox:  it’s fun to think about how each month would be to have a baby in! Another bonus is the super-pregnant months for a June bday are usually nice weather!
