@mrsjapley:  Hooray!!  I went into the doctor to get a blood test at 11DPO.  They called me today to tell me it’s positive.  They also asked for me to go back in so they can make sure the hcg is increasing according to schedule.

We’ve told a couple of friends because if things don’t go well, then we’d look to them for support.  We are holding off parents to hopefully 12 weeks.

I’m so excited for you!!!!

@luli29:  Everything is exactly as it “should be” so far. 12 weeks tomorrow so I’m hoping for a magical and immediate end to the nausea. Right. Welcome to the fun! H&H 9 months!

@nzgirl:  To be completely honest I’m freaking out a bit. I just took a second test – still positive. I’m terrified of morning sickness.

@mrsjapley:  Congrats!

Oh, I’m so happy with the few BFP’s we’ve gotten here at the end of the month – it was looking like an unlucky month, but this is GREAT NEWS! WOO HOO!

@mrsjapley:  I was a little nervous at first about going back for the 2nd blood test…worried that I might not get good news.  I just kept right on POAS everyday and each day the line appears quicker and darker.

Sooo…I highly encourage more stick peeing just for reassurance that your little baby is hanging tight!!

@Mrs. Kiwi:  Thanks hon! I’ve been hoping for a chance like this for a June EDD so I’m pretty stoked for this cycle! And I’d get a year for mat leave (being in Canada) anyway, so I’d get a wicked summer off and then not have to leave the house in winter if I don’t feel like it (we get -45C winters up here with regularity). I’ll add you to my prayers for the next few weeks though – maybe we’ll both get June babies!?!?

@ticatica:  Thanks! And I know about the stats – pretty crazy. The craziest part for me though was that my uncle’s first son shares the day with us, and he passed away at 8 yrs old from meningitis. 3 years later they decided to have another baby, and their second son was born 4 years after the first’s death and on the first son’s (and the rest of us’) same birthday.

Well ladies, it’s official! I took a digital test last night and it was positive! I still don’t really believe it. I was so nervous to tell DH. I wrapped the onesie up in a gift bag and told him I had a present for him. He opened the card, which was just a silly congratulations card. The inside said “Great job, you did it!” I crossed out the “you” and put “we” and signed it mrsjapley (+1). He just looked at me with a funny face and said really?! Then I shoved the test in his face while he opened the onesie. It turned out really good. We’re happy… and scared.

I just wanted to say thank you to all you guys. You’ve been so helpful and supportive and kept my crazies in check. I can’t wait to see you all over in the pregnancy boards. I will still be creeping on you all in your journeys. πŸ™‚
