@Joynson:  Dang girl you look STUNNING in the dress! Sometimes I wish I had just left my dress alone and not gotten all those alterations because it’s such a pretty dress with such great structure!

Hi Girls! I’m new to this board and I just want to say this is the main reason why I purchased the Macy/Jessie. I always wanted a ‘Steven Khalil’ dress (Australian designer) but I couldn’t get a dress designed by him as I live in London and I would imagine the dress would be exxy. So after seeing what was possible with the Jessie dress I decided to purchase a made to measure ‘Macy/Jayma’ cut with the Jessie lace.

I’ve had my first fitting and my biggest concern now (besides losing weight) is the visible corset line. The store seamstress insisted that it’s not noticable and there’s nothing that they can do about it after I suggested that the boning could be cut after reading this thread. Even if I put a sash/bow (like the image attached) the bottom of the corset is lower than the bow.

I’ll be interested in your thoughts on the corset and whether I should get a plain sash or a sash with a small bow – my next fitting is in one week!

@rvp: Trust me it bothered me too when I first got my dress (the corset line) and I even had it cut off at the bottom.  But I wish I hadn’t because it ruined the functionality of the corset and didnt’ squeeze my waist as tight after I did that.  Also what you dont’ realize, is that on your wedding day you are holding your bouquet for the majority of the day so you won’t even see that part in any photos!! Check out my wedding photos and you will see! The bouquet hides it all.  Overall,  you will never notice it on the big day (trust me) and it makes the corset work so great.

AJ Dresses are so beautifully tailored. Here’s a pic of me in the one I tried in store. Mine is ordered but is yet to arrive. I love the clean lines.

I think this thread is pretty old, but I am in love with this dress. If anyone is selling one, please let me know! Thank you!

sjanusz: Hey! Firstly welcome to Weddingbee. Hopefully another user is following the thread so will receive a notification and you’ll get lucky. I love this dress, the lace is beautiful. I’ve not seen it in person only here on Weddingbee. Have you tried the pre-owned websites yet? Hope you don’t have to wait too soon, I’m sure you’ll find her. Best of luck!

They sell the Jessie at Kleinfelds.  Did anyone opt not to use a belt or sash?   I was thinking it looks beautiful without
