flowerofeden: It’s important that you stick to your instincts and keep with your plan, if that’s what you want. Something you will learn while wedding planning, is that everyone has something to say about something, and there will always be at least one person who is unhappy. As long as you/FI aren’t the unhappy ones, the wedding is a success! You aunt will get over it, and you will have the wedding you want. If you make an exception for her, it will open up a can of worms with everyone else with kids. Also, just from my own experience, when we made it clear it was a kid free wedding, all but one couple were psyched about it! A weekend away from their kids to just be adults, have fun, party and rock out! LOL it was like heaven for them.
