I hear you as well, we’ve just had our house painted (like moving, the last time i painted a house myself i promised NEVER AGAIN – I WILL PAY SOMEONE TO DO THIS!) this weekend and it cost a bomb but is sooooo worth it – when i get depressed about the money i just stroke the lovely walls and remember that i didn’t have to lift a finger!

I’m terrible at painting houses. I get half way through, get bored, and stop. Luckily my parents were pretty cool about me painting my own room every 6 months or so as a teen, but I thin k by the time I moved out I’d lost a couple of centimetres of floor space from the walls closing in with all the paint layers.

Today I met an old friend for lunch, and added lots of stuff to our registry. It was fun to add stuff without Fiance who doesn’t have an opinion on anything.

I also have a 4 day weekend! And then I’m seeing Hunger Games with my sister!! Can’t wait!

How was everyone’s weekend?

I’m actually a little jealous of the rains you girls in the east are getting. It’s Judy been sunny and hot for ages in Perth. BRING on winter!!!

I’ve got tickets to the 920pm show on Thursday!  SOOOOO freaking excited for hunger games!!

I’m secretly enjoying this weather – i had to put a jumper on after dinner yesterday, i LOVE that first day of having to rug up.  I’m sure in 3 days it’ll be 35 degrees again, but I’m enjoying it for now!

In other news, I have 65 papers to mark and I’m just not doing it!  Help?

Speaking of rainy & wet – I’m in NQ & it’s miserable – we’ve had torrential rain for a week & apparently there’s still another week to go!

@j_jaye:  I was stoked to find an Aussie board. Some of the stuff that a lot of the American girls talk about just seems so far removed from all the weddings I’ve ever seen! It’s interesting to compare & get ideas, but it’s also good to have locals that understand where you’re coming from ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sorry to hear everyone else is having bad weather – down here it was pleasantly warm today with a cool breeze! Mind you, we have just had a week and a half of heavy rain. I think we lucked out today.

@mcgoo:  Yes- I also blame boards like these for american traditions creeping into the Australian wedding industry.

I got married in the States and vendors were really umm shitty (and I am stoked I can use that here and know people will know what I mean) when I would laugh and say why would I do that?

BTW- we are having lovely weather here in Melbourne but it is set to change tonight Frown
