Guys, I have been searching and searching for wedding venues in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. My fiance is from Chicago and I am from Australia so we have no idea about the normal practices with weddings over in Hawaii but we decided its the best meeting spot for both sides family and friends.
What I am looking for is a private estate with a beachfront that has a reasonably large grass lawned area on the island of Oahu. I thought I found the perfect place which is Plantation Estate on Paradise Point but they do not allow weddings.
I am looking for something similar preferably not in Honolulu but any other part of the island. I want to have the place from at least 11am to 11pm/midnight but seem to only come across places with restrictions where I can only have the venue for 4 hours which is far too short to be able to build up a party atmosphere!
Any advice or suggestions would be absolutely fantastic.
From a much worried Aussie girl!!!!

Try one of the kathy ireland places, she has two on Oahu. We’re renting the smaller one for our wedding in June… we have the house from 10 to 10. I think they’re both like that. http://www.kathyirelanddestinations.com/ The oceanfront is the big one, the beachfront is the small one.

Hi worried Aussie Girl!
I am also a worried Canadian girl who lives in Australia. We picked Hawaii for the same reasons as you. How did you pick an island?
I have been looking at
1. turtle bay
2. haiku mills
3. beach house
have you got a short-list yet? the internet is such a scary black hole of wedding information!
hope its going great!

@getting_into_trebble: Haiku Mills on Maui? They charge about a $30k minimum, or something ridiculous like that! But if you have the cash, go for it! It’s gorgeous!!

@mskoloa: i wondered why they didn’t provide more wedding information. I sent a request about two week ago and haven’t heard back yet.
I’ll post it up when I get it! Best not get my hopes up!
