Guys, I have been searching and searching for wedding venues in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. My fiance is from Chicago and I am from Australia so we have no idea about the normal practices with weddings over in Hawaii but we decided its the best meeting spot for both sides family and friends.
What I am looking for is a private estate with a beachfront that has a reasonably large grass lawned area on the island of Oahu. I thought I found the perfect place which is Plantation Estate on Paradise Point but they do not allow weddings.
I am looking for something similar preferably not in Honolulu but any other part of the island. I want to have the place from at least 11am to 11pm/midnight but seem to only come across places with restrictions where I can only have the venue for 4 hours which is far too short to be able to build up a party atmosphere!
Any advice or suggestions would be absolutely fantastic.
From a much worried Aussie girl!!!!

How many guest are you planning to have Aussie? Have you thought about renting a house with a large back space?
Turtle Bay Resort is up north so it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but still on Oahu.

@brandonsaussie_girl: I would recommend hiring a wedding planner. They can answer all your questions and know the venues well. My sister is a wedding planner in Hawaii and she is planning my wedding.

Definitely go with a wedding planner! Mine is awesome- Lori at Tropical Maui Weddings http://www.tropicalmauiweddings.com/index.aspx
or Darren at Bliss Maui http://www.blissmauiweddings.com/
They are both on Maui, but do other islands as well. Darren is also the most incredible florist you will ever get to work with- he has been so amazing so far!

I’m in a really similar situation, except I’m from the midwest and he’s Australian. We got engaged in Hawaii and have decided to get married there in Sept 2014. Looking for a private rental that allows weddings (about 30 people). Did you wind up finding anything?
