@sunshinewish15: traditionally, queensland gets summer storms, which normally kick off in November/December. but the past two years it feels like we’ve been moving to more of a wet season (late Nov until mid Feb) than just sporadic storms. the past 2 years, Brisbane (and much of the queensland coast) has flooded in January.

I personally think September or October would be LOVELY in Brisbane. It’s before it gets too hot, and the days start to get a bit longer so sunset should be around 5.30-6pm.

We were married in July in a cooler climate than Brisbane. We chose this for a few reasons but a beautiful Winters day was one of them. It was stunning – not a cloud in the sky. I had a little lace jacket but I could have had nothing. It was perfect weather.

We are getting married in July so it is unlikely to rain.

It rained on our wedding day but you know what I didn’t notice!

the rain changed my entrance to the church a but which sucked but as soon as we went to the high alter where the photos of our loved ones who had passed were the sun came out and came through the windows… It then held off until half way through the reception where is BUCKETED but honestly I didn’t even think about it being a bad thing I just looks at it cascading down the marquee and said how pretty it was! Then when it calmed down a bit went and danced in the rain 🙂 was a lot of fun!

@sunshinewish15:  I’m from Brisbane.

to be perfectly honest, it’s pretty hit and miss. you could get rain all year round. some months are more common than others, but more often than not, Brisbane lives up to the catchphrase ‘beautiful one day, perfect the next’.

I’m getting married in Melbourne…in July…I’ll be more surprised if it DOESN’T rain!

Everything is inside, worst case scenario we will just have to cancel any outdoor photography and buy a lot of umbrellas to make sure everyone gets from venue to venue without getting drenched. I’ve also thought about getting a small hairdryer to touch up my dress/FI’s suit if we do get rained on.

I’ve been to two weddings in the past two weeks in 35 degree heat and I’m now glad our wedding’s in winter – both Fiance and I get really sweaty and cranky in the heat, so I’d probably prefer rain over extreme heat! Having said that, I’ll probably panic if I wake up on the wedding day and it’s absolutely pouring.

If you’re worried, have a look back at Mrs Jaguar’s wedding – although she had a June wedding in Sydney, her wedding (and photos) were absolutely gorgeous 🙂

I live in melbourne so anything weather wise is possible. We have a back up plan for the ceremony. I’d prefer to have our ceremony in the wonderful garden but if it’s raining we have a nice room inside.

Brisbane is usually pretty sunny- but rain does come unexpectadly..

We are getting married in Brisbane in September (I really must update my profile..). Hoping the weather is not too hot, not too cold, and sunny!
