@goingtotherooftopoflove:  It’s actually yellow gold πŸ™‚ I love the look of rose gold too but I’ve always been a yellow gold girl at heart. Thank you, it is very pretty, if I do say so myself πŸ˜‰ hehe

Everyone’s rings are all so beautiful!!!

@goingtotherooftopoflove:  I had the stone set into a halo on a ‘whim’ – and unfortunately the jeweller didn’t execute the style as I’d described/wanted. I’ve created a few posts about my indecision and in searching for a different jeweller and style of ring for my oval I fell in love with both radiant cut diamonds and yellow diamonds.

Now SO and I are just trying to decide if we stay with what we’ve got, have the oval diamond reset into a different halo or a solitaire of if we buy a new yellow radiant diamond and set it in a solitaire or with pave white diamonds on the band.

@spink75: What a beautiful sapphire! It’s great to see other NZ Bees rocking coloured gemstones Laughing

I have two engagement rings. The ring I wear everday is a round Avarra Kashmir Blue sapphire set on a 14k yellow gold ring. The stone is from the good people of BTD.com and the setting is from Amcor Designs, who were also responsbible for putting the ring together

My other engagement ring is an Avarra emerald on a 14k yellow gold setting with moissanite sidestones. The stone is again from BTD.com and the setting is from Moissaniteco.com.

@FemShepN7:  I found both to be pretty fantastic actually. Considering the time difference and the fact that they’re all the way across the world, they both responded pretty quickly to e-mails, provided great customer service and answered all my questions. Moissaniteco was especially wonderful since my emerald ring was a semi-custom piece. They ordered the stone from BTD (and were quick to reassure me when I found out that BTD was discontinuing the Avarra emeralds that they already had my stone so I need not worry) and ordered a setting similar to one they advertise in order to accommodate the stone. I also ordered a wedding band from them – both arrived in perfect condition and I had absolutely no issues with customs.

I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from them again – I had a much better experience getting my rings online than when I went shopping. The staff at one Michael Hill’s branch basically made fun when I said I wanted a sapphire ring so the Fiance and I won’t be getting our bands from them lol.

It looks a little green because I was sitting in a park at the time. I got it from Moissanite Co, and I love it. I’ll be wearing the matching band in just over a month!

Beautiful rings ladies, love seeing them all. Its also wonderful to see so many Kiwi/Aussies on here. We are both Kiwis living in Auz. We got engaged in Sydney, right in front of the Opera house, last October.

@FemShepN7:  thank you both! It’s 1ct. I weighed up between 1ct and 0.75. It feels a little big sometimes but I think as I get older I’ll “grow into it”. πŸ™‚

Hey ladies! Loving all the bling! Just got my beautiful ring today! Was tossing up between a diamond and a coloured stone, but future hubby and I found this and fell in love. It is a ruby with .2ct diamonds in the halo. Bought in Melbourne.
