@libyantiger: I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews for Lightinthebox.com I work with someone who has purchased from there without issue, and there are a LOT of great reviews online. They seem like they have a decent return policy too! Hope this helps! And don’t forget romanticgowns.com! I’ve heard great stuff about them too!

Had the same reaction as PP to Light in the box…. I ordered bolero from them, it’s beautiful! Wondering what issues I was lucky enough to avoid, now. Also – you may want to attempt Etsy seller list, since so many use them.

I used http://www.bridesmaids.com for ordering my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and they were easy to work with and everything arrived in perfect condition right when they said it would.  So I’d give them a “trusted” recommendation!

houseofbrides.com is legit. The are listed as a trusted dealer of e.g. Watters and Alfred Angelo

I’m questioning this list. These sites are all legit, to the extent that they take orders and ship products, yes. But are what they selling QUALITY products, and do they stand by these products? Are their return policys reasonable? What is their satisfaction guarantee? That is what people should be asking. I am leery about doing business with the Chinese wedding dress wholesalers, mainly because they do not have to subscribe to Better Business Bureau practices, and because of all the stories I have read, on this very website, from brides who have been burned by ordering dresses through them. Some are hit and miss, it seems. Still, it is good that this dialogue be addressed regularly on weddingbee, as newly engaged bees join our ranks every day, and I think it is important to pass on the knowledge through this sisterhood.
