- Wedding: September 2013
I am from the United Kingdom and looking to get married at Central Park NYC September 2013.
At the moment I am pricing things up so we can get saving but as from the UK I need help of where to go and where not to go :-/
At the moment I am in touch with a photographer called Bowski Mullar, who seem reasonable in their prices and I like their online portfolio, has anybody had any dealings with them, if so what do you think?
I am also struggling to find hair and make up, it all seems a little pricey. I do not mind paying out but I am finding the trials are the same price as the actual day, I would definitely want a trial. I arrive (or plan to) on the Tuesday and marry on the Thursday so a trial would be peace of mind.
I would want the airbrush make up but quite a natural look with brown tones for eyeshadow and red lips (like an english rose look). For my hair I have long thick hair so would like natural curls with it half up and down. It will be just me who would want my hair and make up done and possibly my mum and sister.
I am also needing a car, a town car or a novelty NYC cab (specifically for weddings).
Finally, I need a recommendation on where to eat afterwards there will be 10 to 12 of us and I want to eat at around 7. I have been looking at the Gilt (which can only seat 10 max) and Four Seasons both of these places will only take bookings a month before unless I hire a room, which to be honest for a wedding party of that size I do not want to.
Before then I would like a recommendation on a good cocktail bar where we can go for drinks after the wedding but before the meal.
Sorry, I know there is a lot of information I am asking for but wondered if anyone from NYC can help me out…..
