cblank181 :  There are some great facebook groups with people who have been using it. A surprising number of women sell theirs after getting pregnant, so it seems to be working. I was really ready to pull the trigger and order one, but I realized that I’d probably be fine with using a regular basal body thermometer, OPKs, and an app like Fertility Friend because I wake up around the same time 5 days a week, and not drastically later on the weekends, so I’d probably be able to get reliable temperatures on my own. But the Ava does make it much more convenient.

I recently bought the Temp Drop. It’s significantly cheaper than Ava, but only tracks temp, not heart rate and whatever else Ava tracks.

I really like it so far. I haven’t had it for a full cycle yet but it seems to be pretty reliable. The main reason I went with it was because it shipped to Canada whereas Ava does not.

mrspuppylove :  Do you find it comfortable to wear? I’m glad it seems reliable to you.

ladyvictoria :   I don’t even notice it anymore! The only complaint I have about it is that you have to turn it on (not sure if the Ava is the same) but I have forgotten once or twice. It would be great if it could sense it was being worn.

I had a positive OPK a couple days ago and I think I saw the temp increase so I’m just waiting a few more days to be sure. But so far I’m happy because I absolutely hated temping the regular way!

I got an Ava, and got pregnant that same cycle. I had the Ava for such a short period of time, I don’t think that Ava was directly responsible, but in the three weeks I used it, it sure beat trying getting up early to check my BBT, since I had been tracking my cycles for a while with a regular old thermometer.

I thought I’d sell the bracelet as soon as I got my BFP, but now I’m thinking I’ll probably put it back on once the baby comes, so I can get back in the swing of things with my cycles. I think it’ll be especially useful to have the tracking taken care of, so I don’t have to worry about keeping an eye on temps, while also looking after a little one.

I got pregnant with the Ava bracelet too.  Splurged on it after 3 cycles of nothing.  I found it interesting that the device’s algorhythm pushed my fertile window by a few days based on the data it gathered.  I got pregnant the first cycle using it and I’m 37 weeks today!  I still wear it every night to track my sleep.

cblank181 :  Ok I totally changed my mind again and ended up ordering the Ava this weekend. I bought my last pack of BC pills last week and what I pay each month for them is the same amount as the payment you can make monthly if you buy it with Klarna. Klarna offers 0% interest for 6 months, essentially making it ~$50/month for the Ava. The only thing is you can’t finance it and use a $20 off code because the deal is only good for the $249 price. My mom actually gifted me money for it last month (birthday), but now the money is freed up for other purposes and I still get my Ava. I can keep you posted with results once I start using it at the end of the month if you’d like!

Hello bees, I’m really considering to jump on the ava wagon after reading numerous success stories.  I’ve been TTC since last year and finally this January I got my BFP but a few weeks later I had my first MC.  I was devastated…  Fast forward a few months I’m now ready to try again.  I started using a home ovulation kit last month, but this month I completely forgot to use it.  I can be pretty forgetful in the morning.  Then I learned about temping and I really can’t see myself waking up early to do it every morning.  Is ava really worth the splurge? Does it really work?  I’m a bit nervous since the product is expensive.  Also, does anyone have a coupon code or a referral code that I can use?  Thanks in advance!

greenbee123 :  So sorry to hear about your MC 🙁

The whole reason I got Ava was to get accurate temps without having to wake up at the same time every morning. I explained in my above post why it was worth the money to me! I will begin using it at the end of the month, but there are a few groups on Facebook where you can read all about the experience of women who have been using it. Lots of BFP posts, which is encouraging. Some are open to all women and some you can only join once you’ve ordered Ava (they’ll ask for your order #).

cblank181 :  wow, I had mixed feeling on whether the Ava bracelet was full of hype or what. Saw celebs and social media influencers promoting it with codes and thought it was a scam. But wow, all the comments in this thread made my pull the trigger and buy it. We’re planning to TTC in the next few months, and at 35, I really don’t want to be playing a guessing game with my ovulation. I am not a morning person so I know I wouldn’t be consistent w temping.
