I’m a scope-r too.. Once I got engaged I became very observant.
Although, its hard to say what the average size is where I live.. Some people could be rocking a 1 carat stone and it could look small or large depending on their finger size. If I had to estimate.. I’d say 1-2 is average in my city.
With a few WOWs sprinkled in every once and awhile when I’m in a fance area.

Being from close to Seattle too, it is really interesting to read your perspective.

.5 to 1.0 ct are average sizes where I live. It isn’t too unusual to see larger ones here and there.

SW Virginia here. I would say average center stone size for around here is .30-.50 for newly engaged/married couples. A lot of older womern have what appears to be .20-.30 – I do see larger sometimes but from what I’ve seen and can guess even they’re under 1 carat.
Mine is a .53 carat solitaire and I don’t feel it’s big or small for my area.

I’m not so close to Seattle anymore…I was living in Bellevue but now I’m quite a few hours away from the area anymore. I’m not sure I could ever mark an average center stone range where I was though. The sizes seemed all over the place from very minimalist to very large diamonds.

I am in OKC, OK and I’d put average center size stone around .5 carats. I see lots of matched wedding sets that total right at about a carat, and lots of younger ladies with 1 CTW engagement rings. Anything larger is pretty HONKING around here.
I love looking at rings. I think its so cool to see the physical symbol of a couple’s love.
