Here are some quotes we got:

Rabbi to perform interfaith ceremony: $900

Co-officiants (rabbi and priest team) $1000 – rabbi or priest for $600

Nondenominational minister: packages range from $400-$600

I think it depends on where you live.

In the Philly area, I have been quoted $650.00 for one clergy, or $1,000 for two clergy to co-officiate.

I am having an interfaith wedding ceremony. The Cantor from the synagogue is $500, and the priest is $650.

I’m a Celebrant / non-denominational minister in Northern NJ, and my fee ranges from $425 to $700, depending on the date, location, time, and a few other factors.  It’s worth it for a custom ceremony, though I know it feels like a lot at the beginning.

I live in NY and I’ve been quoted 1800 (down from 2500), 1200 and 800.  This includes $200 for “car service” to travel to/from our wedding.  (I’m not even taking a car service to/from my own wedding!)  I really think that they get away with this because it’s hard to find clergy who will do interfaith unions, but I don’t think it’s right (esp since part of the money isn’t even going back to a religious institution, which is the case with many churches, synagogues, etc.)  I guess I was hoping to find a good person for $600 or so.

I’ve been married before (about 8 years ago) and our pandit charged us something like $300-$400 and that was for a 1.5hr same-faith ceremony.   Needless to say, I’ve been caught off guard by the rates for interfaith ministers.

I believe we’re paying around $600 for our rabbi.

All I have to say is HOLY CRAP!?!?!?!  We are only paying $200 for the Reverend to preform our non-denominational ceremony.

Desi Bride — wanna e-mail me? We just booked a Rabbi for our interfaith ceremony in NYC in June.  He’s wonderful.  Said it’d be $850 if he didn’t know us, but since he does, he’s doing it for $750.  No car service.  That’s baloney! [email protected]
