If you go with an elopement company they usually offer a package that includes photography. It’s much cheaper than hiring a photographer on your own. My elopement ceremony and photos 60 (half posed and half candid)  cost $300 total. And I love my pics

My pricing probably wont help you as we eloped in Bali. We paid  900 aud for 4 hour photography and 4 hour videography (crew of 5 in total)

I’m getting quotes from 800 to 1000 USD for 2 hours but this is for San Francisco so VHCOL.

I’m a wedding photographer in a resort area, so I shoot a lot of elopements in addition to full weddings. My hourly rate is $500/hr with a 2 hour minimum. That’s pretty standard for my area. There are some who are cheaper but they’re newer and less experienced. In my area most elopements tend to be weekdays or a Friday/Sunday because we all typically have minimum hour requirements for Saturdays.

Paris elopement package included; flowers, officiant, driver, hair & makeup, & photographer for $2,500. It was 2.5 hours of photos and I’ve no idea how much it costs just for photos. But, I got all my digital images.

Shop around!

When you call photographers ask for their rate for a portrait session vs. anything “wedding”.  That is basically what you’re looking for… not the full day wedding coverage etc etc.

My photographer is costing $400 for ceremony coverage and then a 45min couples photo shoot after the ceremony is finished. I live in the PNW not in a major city and she is a really good photographer with a beautiful photography portfolio. She said that her elopement package includes a minimum of 40 digital high resolution images that are print release so we can print as many as we want once we have the disc. Her normal wedding rate is between $1800-$2400 for comparison.

We paid $1300 in Orange County for a 3 hour session of the elopement, and a 2 hour engagement session shoot.

I think average at least around here is $900-1000 but I’m sure you can find cheaper depending on the quality of photos you want.

300bride :  Hi I live in the same area and am looking for a photographer to shoot an elopement. I was wondering if you could share who you worked with!

We eloped in the Caribbean and we paid $1,200 for 3 hours, which included an assistant. The pictures look amazing, and some of my favorite shots would have been impossible without the assistant.

Gosh! I get why my fiancé is not happy about the price I’m getting quoted! We’re looking at $2600 for 4 hours in Colorado. That is an adventure elopement. We will be hiking.
