The numbers are specifically for Ritani diamond engagement rings, soooo take them with a 3ct grain of salt!

I live in Utah now but we lived in Denver, CO when we got engaged. My ring is under both averages. It was about $2.5K for my sapphire center, three stone engagement ring. Even including the cost of my wedding band ($600) and I’m still under the average spent.

xjsbellamias13 :  your ring has been one of my favorites on here but you also have very nice hands to model any ring on lol

Fun post! Washington D.C. here and I’m not surprised we’re at number 4 on the list. I definitely see much larger rings than mine fairly regularly.

scigirm222 :  several thousand over the Massachusetts average.   I don’t have a pic of just the engagement ring, because it’s new (and still cheaper than my first one).   Had a 3 stone, wasn’t my jam, though very blingy in a tasteful way and people definitely judged us.   Took the center e (just over 1.5 carats) and set it into this handmade beauty.

I am in utah and i agree with the state average . We spent way way above the average for my ring upgrade . People get married really young here and start families right away so I can see how rings take the back burner .

Here is mine . 1.70 ctw elongated cushion brillint. GIA. Made by A.Jaffe New York .

I’m not in the US, but thought this an interesting question, so I looked up the average in my country. The average for my country is about half of the average in Utah, and even so mine still only cost about 2/3rds of the average for my country.

Having said that, now we’ve been to look at wedding bands the ones we like are about double my country’s average and way above the budget I’d expected! And more than my engagement ring. Oops.

Cheapskate from California here, we only spent about 1/4th of the state average. 🙂

cbee2017, good point that this is only for Ritani. Never heard of ’em.
