Hi bees!
My fiance and I are starting to get quotes from local florists in Cleveland, Ohio, for our wedding, which is fun but also super confusing because we have no idea what the average prices are when it comes to wedding flowers and we don’t want to overpay.
Can any of you share what you paid for your wedding flowers? We’re most intersted in the cost for the bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquets, tall and low centerpiece arrangements, pew decor and church arrangements. I realize the cost will vary by state but we’re just looking for some estimates!
One of the florists we’re looking at also offers uplighting and chair covers, so if any of you have prices for those as well it would be appreciated! 🙂

For my bouquet, I’ve been quoted around $150-160, $200 with peonies as opposed to garden roses. For my Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, quoted about $30-50 a piece (which are all white hydrangeas w some greenery). Church arrangements & food table arrangements around $150.

My bouquet is $175, bridesmaids are $80 I believe. We’re doing roses, hydrangea, baby’s breath and thistle.
We are doing 2 different types of centerpieces, but not low/high – one is a small vase (like a “low” style) and the others are just rose petals with candles – the small arrangements are $75 a piece – same flowers as the bouquets.

We had an event designer that did all our decor. It came up to a little over $25K…flowers were around $20K.
Our high centerpieces were $500 each, low centerpieces $260 each. I’d have to check my invoice but IIRC, my bouquet was $210 and BM’s were $150.
We chose pinspotting instead of uplighting. It was done by the same production company as our band. Cost was roughly $1.5K.

Our florist is also our decorator and everything came up to $28000. Flowers and decor are huge for me I really want the wow factor for our ceremony and reception. We are from Toronto Canada I don’t know if it makes a difference

I really loved our floral, spring wedding so blush color with garden roses, roses, ranunculus and hydrangeas and other flowers for centerpieces.
Here’s a link to my florals, I think my florist is very reasonable for what she provides:

For a wedding in Philadelphia, my bouquet is $150, and my bridesmaids’ bouquets are $70 each. Boutonnières are $8 each, and corsages are $25 each for the moms and officiant, and $18 for the groomsmaids.
I’ve heard that this is low for the Philadelphia area–our wedding is in Center City but our florist is in the suburbs.

kmott09 : We paid slightly over $1000 for flowers in Phoenix, AZ (I think the grand total came to $1025 or something like that). But my mom and I were pretty serious about our budget. Flowers were my mom’s project, I told her I didn’t want to go over $1000, and my only stipulation was that we had sunflowers; I was flexible with everything else. Sent my mom a few pinterest pictures for reference that she could share with the florists.
She shopped around and told them upfront about our budget and what we were looking for. We found one who was willing to work with us.
For $1000 we got:
– My bouquet
– 5 bridesmaid bouquets (1 slightly fancier for MOH)
– 6 buttonieres for groom & groomsmen (1 slightly fancier for groom)
– 3 corsages for moms/stepmom
– 2 buttonieres for dads
– aisle ribbons for ceremony
– 9 centerpieces (pretty simple, sunflowers and filler in vases)
– 6 spare vases so girls’ bouquets could be in water during reception/double as centerpieces
– toss bouquet & extra loose flowers for cake table (I wasn’t throwing, so the toss went as decor as well)
– delivery to ceremony and reception sites
My advice: be flexible. I had a late summer wedding, so sunflowers were in season, and my florist found some mums that look like mini-sunflowers for the mens’ pieces. I didn’t care about the filler so I let her be creative as long as it stayed within budget.
