socalgirl1689 :  mine dont, I find the ‘junk mail’ bits completely unnessacery and they easily get lost so not worth extra money… all info will go on a website which will be a footnote in the invite

btob17 :  I feel like businesses who offer these separate inserts at an added price found another way to rob brides of their hard earned money. First rsvp cards, then info cards, now belly bands. Geez, who keeps on coming up with these things? LOL

I will be designing all of our stationary including invites, rsvp cards, detail cards, save the dates, signs, etc. I will either print them myself (the ones that are B&W) and then print some other items on vistaprint.

I made mine in photoshop on my computer for free. Then I took them to Staples to be printed. I sprung for the ‘good card stock’. We had an intimate wedding of 32 guests. I had 40 printed so I could have a few for keepsakes. The printing cost about $35. The box of envelopes cost about $8, and I got these pretty heart stickers to seal the envelopes for about $10.

We are doing ours through Basic Invite. $3 per invite for both Invite and RSVP. Debating to add other inserts as well. Plus they are partnered with our photographer, so we are getting an extra 30% off.

Ours are very good quality, we paid about $700 for 90 invitations. Not something I wanted to spend money on, but was important to my mom and my grandma.

First time around: nothing. We emailed everyone. This time, I do want paper invites, though we’ll probably not go top of the line. These ideas are great.

We used smartpress for our invites and save the dates. Created the images and text ourselves using publisher and downloaded fonts so it looked more custom and painted/drew the front cover for our invites. They were less than $1 for each. The invites were 5×7 front image and back information. No inserts or anything crazy. Put all the info for the hotel and transport on the website and people could rsvp on website or by calling. Loved the website, turnaround, and customer service. and you could get samples of they types of paper

Our invitations weren’t DIY,  but I was very budget conscious and also didn’t want to spend a lot on additional postage.  We had seal and send invitations which cost $88 for 44 invites,  but that did include being addressed,  which was a huge time savings, especially since we planned our wedding on just under 8 months. I found that the more invitations you order,  the lower the cost per invite… But I’m really impressed with how inexpensively some of the other Bees who replied here were able to do their invites.   Unfortunately,  I only discovered this site about a month before our wedding.

Our invitations only required standard postage and the RSVPs required postcard postage.  Here is a photo of our invites.

BEEelegant :  for sure! Ours look like this outside

With a rose gold foil insert on a pearl colored paper. I really wanted lasercut in our wedding colors.

$4.50 each for the invitations and envelopes from Minted.  They offered free address labeling (which I really liked).
