After reading all the good reviews of catprint.com I decided to go with them for printing the wedding invitations that my sister-in-law designed. I requested paper samples from them, but after a couple of weeks they had still not shown up! The invitations were still in design phase, so it wasn’t a huge deal and I contacted CatPrint.com to find out where the samples were. Turns out they had been returned due to insufficient postage, and CatPrint had not bothered to send them out to me again! They promised to do so…and eventually after several more phone calls to CatPrint.com they arrived a month after I had requested them. At this point the invitations were ready and waiting to print, and more than a week behind schedule. The hard copy proofs looked amazing, so I went ahead and placed an order with 3 day shipping so that I could get the invitations made this weekend. The box arrived yesterday…with NO ENVELOPES! Of course CatPrint is closed for the weekend, so I’m going to have to go find envelopes somewhere else and ask for a refund! I hope they give it to me, but overall I have been VERY disappointed with their customer service and the whole experience! If you are going to order from CatPrint I would recommend that you allow at least an extra 4 weeks of time on your invitations!

@cpt_emily: I agree with your sentiment about Catprint. I have not had a good experience with them and do not recommend them either. My issue is a little different (though they also took their dear sweet time sending the paper samples). I actually had some layering issues (faint yellow boxes where I used text boxes) with my document and they also printed my RSVP askew. (These issues did not show up in my hard copy proof.) Instead of informing me of these problems, they just printed it and sent it out without proofing it.
Then when I let them know about the issue, they said they could fix it but would not overnight it (all while implying the problem was my fault). Then the next day, he said there was a problem with the RSVP document that can’t be seen digitally and only on commerical printers. I sent him a new document addressing the issue within the hour. I got a shipping confirmation and thought everything was fine.
Then this morning I received a new copy of my invitations but the RSVPs were nowhere to be found. I checked the website and saw that there was note about it being “Held”. I called and Nate, the contact, was like “Oh yeah, well the new document had the same problem.” Um, buddy, why didn’t you call me? That was five days ago!! Then I sent him a new docuement again and said “we’ll see” about overnighting it. Then I called to see if worked, no answer. Then again and no answer. Then my fiance calls two minutes later from a different number, and he answers! The guy from Catprint tells my fiance that they might be able to overnight it. But then he emails me and says that they are going to charge me $18 to overnight it! I was extremely frustrated.
And I agree with you! If others choose to use Catprint, they need to make sure that they give themselves plenty of time to work through issues. And they also shouldn’t expect Catprint to worry about deadlines or rush their order in any way. I got the feeling that my order wasn’t really important, perhaps because it was rather small compared to commercial print jobs.

Thanks for warning ladies! I thought it was a fluke that my samples hadn’t arrived after I ordered them two weeks ago since they had great reviews from other bees. When I called on friday to follow up there was no answer after multiple tries at different times of the day. I am currently researching paper and printing options in my area. I am already behind schedule and cannot wait an additional month :-(.
