Possibly the WORST experience of my life when it comes to shopping for anything. It all started in February of this year 2012, Eva’s was the only shop that had my dress to try on. So living in Indiana, I took a little trip on a Sunday. I got Ellie as my assistant there, and she was possibly the most delightful thing about this whole deal. I paid my dress in full cash on February 26th, they said my dress would be ordered the next day on Monday. I asked when my dress would be in and they originally told me the beginning of June. So, I waited patiently, June came and went and it was July, so I called to find out where my dress was. A man answered the phone and told me he didn’t know why they told me June, it would be more like the Beginning of August because the dress was coming from CHINA. So, dissapointed, I waited. Then in the beginning of August I call, no dress. They give me the same answer, I don’t know why you were told this but the dress is coming from CHINA. They told me not to worry, that my dress would be in my hands in two weeks putting the date at August 17th. So I call on that day, they still do not know where my dress was, it still had not shipped from the manufacturer in CHINA and I would have to speak to a manager, called back 3 times that day before speaking to Hela. Who then told me she would have an answer by Monday or Tuesday, so, I waited yet again. Now stressed and in tears because they kept telling me they didn’t know where my dress was. Finally I call again on Wednesday August 29th. Hela claims she doesnt know where my dress is and starts on the whole thing about CHINA again, by this time I am irate I paid in full in FEBRUARY. After threatening with legal action, Better Business Bureau and demanding my money back by Friday, she tells me she will call me back. OF COURSE she didn’t, I had to call her, again she tells me she would call me back, I tell her I think she is taking me for a ride, her response? What would she have to gain? She finally called back and said my dress would be in Friday. I took a half day off of work, luckily I didn’t drive out there and waste any more of my time because they didn’t call me to tell me my dress was in till well after their business day was closed. NOW here is the kicker, my dress was made by Allure, who is based out of Georgia and I had the pleasure of finding out, My dress was ordered WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29th. SO WHY DID I PAY IN FULL IN FEBRUARY IF MY DRESS CAME IN 3 DAYS? I picked my dress up on Sunday the 2nd with no problems, paid state tax and got the hell out of the store, after reading several reviews they were not doing alterations to my beautiful dress. Hela was not there that day, I feel sorry for her employees having to take calls from stressed and frazzled brides from the lies her and I am assuming her husband tell people. If you want to save your sanity during what should be the most beautiful time of your life, shop elsewhere.
