@AvoidJamesAllen:  I’m so sorry that has happened to you! Have you contacted James Allen yet? Do you have it insured? I can’t imagine what would cause a crack like that! Hope it all gets worked out!

I voted no because you did not give an option for “let them try to fix the problem”. Contact them, see what they will do in regards to fixing this HUGE problem, maybe giving you a discount off your purchase price for all the stress/issues, but a full refund, I’m not sure? Things happen, give the company a chance to fix the problem, offer a discount. With any purchase big or small problems can occur.

@mishagirls79:  + 1 I would hope that James Allen would want to fix the problem. You are wearing his merchandise and therefore a walking billboard for him. If he doesn’t try to fix the problem than I would see what the next step would be. If thats turning the business into the BBB or filong a suit or whatever. But let them try to fix the situation first before demanding your money back. After we got my engagement ring I had 2 stones fall out within 6 months of each other and less than a year after getting the ring. Both times the jewelers put a new stone in with no hassle and the second time they sent my ring in to be completely redone (melted the metal, reshaped the ring and put the stones back in) so it wouldn’t happen again What happened was when they resized my ring from a size 7 to size 4 the prongs were too wide and stones would get loose. After taking it in the 2nd time I haven’t had any problems since and I’ve now had my ring for 2 years.
