I haven’t posted here before but felt compelled to share my experience since I spent so much time researching Vistaprint on Weddingbee and elsewhere before I ordered!
I placed an order for my 100 upload-your-own-design save the dates on Saturday, June 2, used a $10 for $50 worth of stuff Living Social deal I had, and got free standard (14 day) shipping for spending $25 beyond the deal. I wanted them sooner, but read posts about it really not taking that long, so I decided to go for it.
Today (June 6) my order still said “in progress” so I e-maild Customer Service to see what their order processing/printing times were (couldn’t find that info on their website). They got back to me in under an hour, replying that they don’t have standard pricessing times, but that they just print your order in time for it to be delivered to you by your ship date…which for me was 6/16. Crap..so they just hold the order until a few days before they need to ship it, maybe? I replied and asked if I could upgrade the shipping on my order to get it sooner. In about hald an hour, I got an e-mail saying “Thanks for your order” and it had my whole order in it, everything said “FREE!” for the price, and it had free 3-day rush shipping! A few minutes later I got an e-mail from Customer Service saying they had upgraded my order to complimentary rush shipping and it will arrive by 6/11…wow! (fyi, I did not actually get my order for free—all of the itmes just said “free” b/c they processed it as a re-order of my original order).
ANYWAYS..I know people have had bad experiences with VP, so I wanted to share this one..I didn’t evne ask for a free upgrade–just the possibiltiy of upgrading and paying the difference–and they did this voluntarily. So sometimes all you have to do is ask, I guess! Maybe I caught someone on a good day 🙂
Now let’s just hope the quality is good when I receive them..I’m a little nervous!
