Miss-Mauverick :  You’re welcome! I was never a big fan, and now my fall Sundays are freed up! 🙂 A teensy part of me MAY have purchased the jersey knowing that would be the outcome…and not caring lol

A couple of years ago I surprised him with the Xbox 1 for a late engagement present. The first present I got him was a pair of custom oakleys…but I am seriously so damn excited about his Christmas present this year. He works at Nike and we have a shoe problem. I am having a shoe storage box that looks like a Nike shoe box made. He is going to DIE!! He will need about 7 of them to fit all of his shoes, so maybe I’ll just keep getting these haha.

I love giving gifts! Some of the ones I’ve given my SO over the years have been: watch (originally had gotten him hockey tickets, but it turned out the NHL was on strike 😳); hockey jersey; corn hole set; tickets to a music festival. The best thing I think I’ve ever given him was flights to Italy after he graduated law school. His birthday is this Saturday and I’m giving him 26 presents! (He’s turning 26). Some are really little/jokey but there are a few more expensive things, but nothing was nuts. They range from Broadway tickets to membership to a local film museum that includes tickets to all the viewings to silly Nick Cage movies and his favorite beer. I’m really excited!

mrshmc1204 :  My Fiance and I prefer experiences. So I usually get him concert tickets for his bday and for Christmas we get each other a trip somewhere for New Years. For our anniversary I do a map for him that I update every year. It’s a map of the US with pictures of us Photoshoped into the states where they were taken. We have it hanging above our fireplace and the previous years we’re going to hang in our basement once we have it finished.

I’ve gotten Fiance some incredible football and music gig tickets that took a lot of planning, patience, and yelling at the computer/phone. I’d say that’s his favourite.

I also regularly make him his favourite meals and surprise him with those, wearing something pretty, and some bubbly. 🙂

mrshmc1204 :  For our one year Anniversary on Nov. 1st, I’m going to be giving him a crappy Eagles wallet stuffed with two tickets to the Eagles/Cowboy’s game on New Years Day, equipped with a side of tickets for a chauffered car ride down to the stadium! I now need to recoup my funds!

mrshmc1204 :

I made him a note jar. 365 notes. Color coded.

Each time he wanted a little bit of an up lift he’d pick a color and read it. It was my valentines day gift to him 2 years ago. Now, he will put the little notes around the house for me to find when I’m upset or feeling down.

SO’s birthday is coming up, so I’m accumulating pins for that AND Christmas right now because I like to get gifts MONTHS in advance and avoid holiday stress. Here are a few things…
SO hikes and fishes a LOT, and having packable, lightweight gear is really important for his longer trips. (Huckeberry is a great site to subscribe to, as well – lots of options right into your email!)
He likes to make things with his hands, and he always wears a knife around when we camp/hike.
More impersonal..? Will probably get for his brothers for Christmas.
I got him a set of these last Christmas and we use them all the time.
