About 7 months ago, I got this crazy urge to go for the “bob” haircut. It was awesome and I loved how easy it was to maintain! Then my Fiance proposed and I realized my dream wedding hair was always to have long luscious locks! So right now, with about 4.5 months to go, my hair is at an extremely weird length.
The front is just now touching my collar bones and the back is at the bottom of my neck. I’ve been taking biotin, and all that fun stuff but I need ideas!
2 questions: What is a realistic length that my hair could be at by June? & What are hairstyles that would mesh well with that? I’m open to all styles 🙂
(here is my dress & I’m wearing a birdcage veil)

@futurepilotswife_: I’ve heard that taking pre-natal vitamins will make your hair grow. I’ve never had hair extensions, but that could also be an option. Maybe some more knowledgeable bees can help you with that.

Most updos only need hair that is at the shoulders, and in fact if your hair is too long and also thick or course, sometimes, you will have too much hair for an updo. I’d wear an updo if I were you because of the keyhole back.
As for how long your hair will grow, that depends on your hair. Everyone’s hair grows at a different rate. For most caucasian people, it’s about 1/2-3/4 inch per month. My hair grows much faster than that.
Here’s a picture of my hair from my rehearsal and my wedding. My stylist said just about any updo would’ve worked. My hair was layered with lengths from the shin to just past my shoulders and will a grown out side swept bang hitting the top of my jawline.

I beleive I can help you out. I am a hairstylist of 10 years, and realisticly your hair with only grow about 2 or 3 more inches if that. But…the good news is even though you might have invisioned long locks…the length your hair will actually be is the best length for an up do. find a stylist and have some hair trials. Seeing as the front is longer in the front gives you options of a waved front and the back either to the side or pinned up in the back. there are so many options you have with that length hair. I say google mid lenth wedding hair styles, go on pinterest, and really search for a look that will make you happy on your wedding day. with the right stylist you can have amazing wedding hair without having the long locks your invision. And you always have the option of extensions..even though the best can cost a pretty penny, but if that’s what you want I say go for it.

Are you wearing your hair up? I would with that beautiful dress! So, if its going up its not absolutely necessary that it be super long! My hair grows fast so I’d probably get near 3 inches by June, so if you’re taking supplements I’m sure you’ll get at least near 2 inches! Make sure you go in and have your stylist shape up your hair, this will also help it to grow, let her know minimal needs to come off since your wedding is close. The longer it is the easier the updo will be but I think you’ll be totally fine by that time
