So a woman I went to high school with just posted that she’s made a gyno appointment to have her IUD removed, so that her and her significant other can start TTC.
I’m totally fine with people telling close friends privately that they’re planning to do this, but something about posting this blatantly on Facebook seems a little odd to me.
Anyone else think that’s a little Too Much Information for a site where she’s FB friends with her parents, aunts, and younger cousins?
Maybe I’m just a prude, lol

Yes, that is wayyy too personal and something I just wouldn’t want to know. At all.

It isn’t my style but its her Facebook she can post whatever she is comfortable with.

That seems like a bit too personal for FB. I wouldn’t like the whole world to know I am TTC.

And now two other friends from Facebook have posted words of… encouragement, to the tune of “Get It Girl!” and “Bow Chicka Wow Wow!” Seriously. That just happened.
There’s just somethings I draw the line with, and the whole world knowing intimate details of our sex life is one of those. haha

I think it’s gross cuz I definitely don’t wanna picture my random Fbook friends mating… But I think the really ridiculous thing is advertising it when you have NO IDEA how TTCing is going to go. Do you really want strangers knowing you’re trying, without success, if heaven forbid they have any issues?!?! Seems fairly awful to me. People are bizarre.

Out of curiosity, what were the comments back to that status?

That is worthy of STFUParents,
Just because you can post anything, doesn’t mean you should. Talking about removing plastic things from your privates so you and your SO can start TTC is a perfect example of that.

@ChuckNorris: lol, last I looked the most entertaining one was: “Oh ya happy humping!!!!!!!!”

I’ve been seeing postings a lot like this lately. Some people just don’t care! All the best to them! But you won’t see me doing that… :/

Thats freaking ridiculous.

Not something I want to know! Though I’m a pretty private person – most of my facebook friends didn’t even realise I was getting married until they saw the changed relationship status.

@MrsEdamame: You just made that up for our entertainment, right?
lol Some people!
