So today is my 3 week anniversary, and I’m already sad/missing wedding planning. Even as stressed out as I got at times, I’m missing that stuff…which I was told would happen, and to embrace it, but I wish I had embraced it a little more! 🙁 I was putting away some stuff last week (catalogs, notes, etc.) and actually started crying!! LOL!
Anyone else go through post-wedding melancholia? <–is that even a word?

Aww hugs to you! I totally went through that. Getting my guest/pro pics totally helped – all I did was stare at the photos obsessively and it helped a lot. 🙂

@pengoala: Yeah, next project can be framing and creating a photo album for your photos!

I think it’s totally normal. Don’t feel bad, it doesn’t mean you love your husband any less.

I think it’s totally normal…I had the same issues….but I am a planner by nature so after our wedding I moved on to moving into our new home and furnishing our home, planning our honeymoon and getting a puppy…right now I am planning a trip to Ireland with the bestie (MOH) in April, 2013 so I keep myself busy with planning….after the trip I will move on to planning on baby making in summer of 2013…yep I am a little Type A….good luck to you and

Melancholia is a word haha. Hey date twin! I am glad the wedding is over, but really enjoyed getting pictures printed and framed. I just put away out wedding cards and sent out thank you’s actually. I’m going to do a shadow box too. 🙂 I think it’s normal because you have to find something else to focus on or you may feel bored. Maybe get a hobby to distract you?

Thanks everyone for your words!
I think you’re all right, that I just need to find something to do hobbywise, or plan. (Or clean, LOL!) I haven’t gotten the photos back from the photographer yet, but that should be fun, organizing and framing them. I have watched my wedding video too many times to count, heh heh, as well as looked at all the guest photos. It was such a good day!
Glittermoon, was the weather perfect where you were? Mine was breezy, sunny and 72° boy was I ecstatic! (There was a small tornado that touched down just a few miles south the night before. Crazy!)
p.s. Happy Wedding Day on the 14th to you! 🙂 Great date!

I’m going through the same thing, lol. It’s gotten a bit better though. I started focusing on new projects for our new home together, and soon will be scrapbooking our wedding & things like that.
