Now that we have most of RSVP’s back for my son’s July 24th wedding, we realize we have room for some of our B list. But the date on the RSVP card was yesterday. Do we send the invites with no RSVP card? We still have 4 weeks to the wedding, but our caterer requires payment now for the numbers we have currently but will allow us to add guests up to one week before the wedding. Would it be wierd to send the invite with no RSVP card? And then how would we know if they were coming? Anyone had this problem before?

Hmmm, that may give them a red flag that they were on a B list… Maybe you could call and ask for a confirmation on their address, saying it came back to you and you’re re-sending? You have to send it with an RSVP, how else will you be notified if their coming?

Can you print some extra RSVP cards with the B List RSVP date on them? Even if you just print them yourself and they are simpler than the original ones, that could work.

I think new RSVP cards with a revised date or even a small insert with instructions on how to RSVP online/over the phone (assuming your son and his fiancee have a wedding website) would both be good options. July 24th is still far enough out to where I don’t think people would really think that they were on the B-list unless they received one of the old cards.

Yes your only option is to print new RSVP cards. You can’t send without and you can’t send with the old ones. Just be aware that people will know what’s going on.
