    @meetmethere2013:

    Well I immediately thought of Hank Hill from King of the Hill who is definitely a hillbilly.  I don’t think it’s a bad name though.  If you hate it I wouldn’t use it though.  I’m sure you can find a name you both like.

    My godfather was named Hank and he was an absolutely wonderful man. He passed away a few years ago but he was always smiling and interested in listening to other peoples’ stories.

    So yes, I think it’s a fine name.

    Also, perhaps you could compromise if it’s that big a deal? You could pick another ‘H’ name like Henry and Hank could be his nickname.

    I don’t think it’s a hillbilly name (Would you say Hank Aaron is a hillbilly??? probably not)… Bubba and Honey Boo Boo are. I will say this. I didn’t realize Hank was anything other than a nickname to the name Henry or in Hank Williams’s case “Hiram King Williams”. So if you don’t LOVE the name what about Henry and if you want you can call him Hank. Kinda like a lot of Williams go by Will, Willie, Bill, or Billy

    I don’t think it’s a bad name. My first thoughts when I hear it are Hank Hill and Hank Pym though.

    @meetmethere2013:  I agree that naming him something like Henry with a potential for Hank as a nickname would be good.  If your fiance would agree?  If he hates it though, probably you should cut your losses.  For what it’s worth, I have a friend named Hank who’s super smart, cute, outdoorsy… it fits well.

    @Artificial-Sweetener:  ohhhh my god, that part where grumpy cat was being pet was the CUTEST GRUMPIEST THING EVER!  Love him.  Here’s my current iphone home screen, lol.
