I like the name, is Radley after anyone you know or just a name you both like? The only yhing I can think of is that it sounds like Bradley, so he will probably spend a lot of time correcting people.

I like the name, Radley is SO cute! But here is my thing (and I say this with love): if you want to call him by his middle name, why not just make Radley his first name? It would make things far less confusing for him and people addressing him as he goes through life.

Loandrob2014:  Radley sounds like a nice name. I agree that you should just make William his middle name unless you have any particular reason not to. He will still be known as Radley Rogers either way.

Wishing you well for the rest of your pregnancy!

Normally I’m all for William, but I gotta say, I actually like Radley. I agree just using William for the mn. It does call to mind Boo Radley.

I think Radley William Rodgers sounds better too. Cute name!

Loandrob2014:  I love the name Radley!

I do think Radley William sounds better than William Radley though. My husband goes by his middle name. His work email uses the first letter of his legal first name, plus his last name (think: M.LastName). Since he’s actually CALLED something different, it gets really confusing. When passing his email on to clients or people he’s meeting for the first time, he has to explain that he goes by his middle name but that his given name is different, blah blah blah. He’s also in my phone under a different name than used in my email. The list goes on and on. It honestly is a bit of a lifelong minor headache.

I would use Radley as his first name and save him the trouble. If he wants a more  traditional name when he grows up, he could always choose to go by his middle name at that point!

My husband goes by his middle name  (and was named with the intention he would), and I can’t tell you what a PITA he finds it to be.

I say it’s not a bad name but ise it as a first name if that’s what you’re going to call him. Doesn’t matter much how it flows if that’s not how it’s ever going to be pronounced! All I think of is Boo Radley but it’s still a good name

Loandrob2014:  I love Radley! I also agree with switching it around to Radley William. Even if the “flow” is a little off now, by the time he’s five it’ll sound like it was always meant to be like that!

Loandrob2014:  I think Radley is cute and unique, and you can keep it as the middle name. My little brother’s first name is our dad’s name, but he was always referred to as his middle name. I probably didn’t know this until my teens (I just thought that his middle name was his first name! lol) but aside from that, it’s never been a big deal for any of us.

I like unique names! Maybe it would be better not to tell people the name you choose because no matter the name someone will wrinkle their nose. I don’t dare tell anyone the baby girl name my husband and I chose. It took us years to come to a consensus. im not going to allow anyone to change his mind.
