My husband and I are pregnant with baby #2 and working on names. We are “team green” and won’t be finding out the gender ahead of the birth. We have our girl name set, but we are struggling with the boy name. Our son is Gavin, so we want to make sure a brother name wouldn’t clash with or sound too much like that. (Also, I think it’s important to note that our last name is Moore because it automatically rules out certain names).
Here are a few that we both like (but none are really clicking):
We like Levi but feel like it’s super popular right now. Also, my maiden name is Spencer and I’d love to use it as a middle name, but it doesn’t seem to flow well with a lot of names.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Last name is Moore, but are you using Spencer also (hyphenated)? If not, I think Cooper Levi Moore is super cute! (but I don’t think Cooper Spencer sounds as good)

As you like spencer why not use it as a first name? Works well with your family surname.

I love the name Declan. I would be on my list if my favorite cousin of my Fiance son wasn’t named that.

Levi Spencer Moore is very handsome. I don’t think Levi is too popular, at least in my area. You can check your province or state individually instead of looking at the whole country.

I think Declan Spencer Moore flows really well!

You probably already know as you have 1 child already, but be sure you can stand hearing the name screamed over and over – because at some point you’re going to be yelling at your kid to hurry up, or stop doing something – and if you don’t like the sound of “CADE SPENCER MOORE – YOU GET THERE THIS INSTANT!!” then choose another name.
Also, try out nicknames to be sure there are no annoying nicknames for your child’s name. My friend named her daughter Ria – but was shocked people call her kid “Diarrhea”.
Also… one last point. You may like Cooper, but do you like Coop? Because that’s likely what 90% of people will call him. Declan becomes Dec.
A few I would add – Rylan, Griffin, Bennet, Tristan, Logan, Gerit

I really love Spencer as a first name and it goes great with Gavin. So does Cooper. My vote goes for Spencer Levi Moore even though it wasn’t one of the options 😉

I knew a Gavin and his brothers name was Connor. It seems to fit with the general idea of your names.

What about Caiden instead of Cade? Caiden Spencer Moore

I think you have some great choices! Fletcher is actually a favorite of mine right now and I have a friend who just named her son Cooper.
I will say that if Spencer if your maiden name and you like it enough for a middle–use it as a first! It’s an awesome name! Spencer Moore sounds great! I would rule out Cade (sounds too much like Kate and any elongation, i.e., Caiden, sounds wayyyyy too trendy) and Micah (just not my fave name nor do I find it all that cute).
From what you have left (Fletcher, Cooper, Declan, and Levi), I think either would fit. Right off the bat, I like Fletcher or Declan better with Gavin.
Another suggestion is Harrison. I thought of that name right away when I saw Gavin. Harrison Spencer Moore sounds great! (Note: Harrison is my favorite boy name, but I am not quick to suggest it unless I think it could really work).

I love the name Liam and think it would work well with a sibling named Gavin.

If we had a boy it was going to be Levi (we had a girl). I also like Spencer.

Sean Spencer Moore
Seth Spencer Moore
Garrett Spencer Moore
Martin Spencer Moore
Can you tell I like alliteration haha. My son’s name is Miles and my second son (due in May) will be Dean Spencer (which is my MIL’s maiden name) or Dean Robert. We can’t decide!
