I probably haven’t earned ANY “venting rights” just yet. I’m brand new to these specific boards, and my DH and I have barely started TTC, I’m talking, it’s not even been a month of “trying”. But, I need to vent just a little and I know this is my “safe” place.
So, is it just me or is it when you are ttc, literally EVERYTHING is babies and pregnancy everywhere. Like everything I do, any where I go there is BOUND to be something ttc related?! I mean FB might as well be banned from me at this point, because it’s literally strewn all over my feed day in and day out.
I know I’m more prone to notice baby and ttc stuff right now anyway since its on my brain, but holy hell! give a girl a break, universe. I know, I know…I want a baby so bad, but it’s just feels like I have CONSTANT reminder in some way, shape or form everywhere I turn!!!

There are pregnant people and new babies everywhere. I’m at an age where most of my friends are ttc/new parents too. It’s almost comical at this point, just how ridiculous the #s are getting.
But I totally thought something else when you said baby brain!

Yep it’s everywhere. I cried in Target one day because how dare I have to walk past the baby section to get to housewares?

i would just like to add that on my flight to florida this weekend, there were babies less than 6 months old sitting in FRONT, BACK and NEXT to me.

Hah! This is so true. DH and I are in our first month TTC too, and literally, once this cycle began there were pregnancies and babies everywhere. I know you tend to notice this stuff more when you’re focusing on it, but the amount of baby and pregnancy-related things popping up places is insane.

I’m not in this position at all, but yes it is a psychological phenomenon. You just pay more attention to this kind of stuff right now. My sister also used to think that EVERYONE was pregnant when she was. I am currently looking for a job and it seems like EVERYONE is posting about a promotion or new job, so yeah that sucks too;) I would try to take a break from social media, or if you can’t scroll through your friends list and look at how many people DON’T have kids or are pregnant. Maybe that will put it into perspective;)

Ohh yes, as soon as you start TTC, there they are – babies and pregnant ladies EVERYWHERE! There is a FB announcement once a day it seems that someone else is pregnant.

Haha try being a labor and delivery nurse! Gosh! Some days I’m like no-no way am I ever having a baby. Then I get to meet a great family, connect with them and their family. Be there for the delivery see how excited they get and how sweet the hubby is to the new mom and how they swoon over they new baby and I’m a complete mess, talk about puddle on the floor right in the delivery room! Gah! Anyway so excited to be trying our first month as well! Good luck to everyone else out there trying!

Oh thank you for this post. Seriously, so much. It’s early days for us too, but every tww is a battle. I can’t even watch home renovation shows anymore because at the end it’s always like “Surprise! I’m pregnant” and I just want to cry. Also surrounded by lucky people who get pregnant without even trying for a month, or trying at all. We have an empty room at the end of the hall upstairs meant for a nursery and it’s so super depressing.

There’s a name for this, I forget what. But I used to work in the theater and with each play it felt like there were SO MANY references to the subject matter. But it’s just that you notice it more. Most of my friends either aren’t at the kid stage yet or haven’t conceived/announced so at least I’m safe from that end of it.
